Gucci just released images of its fall 2019 ad campaign and we’re giving you a look at what to expect from Gucci come fall. In this latest installment for Gucci, photographer Glen Luchford worked alongside Alessandro Michele and Art Director Christopher Simmonds to explore the relationship between creative directors and their muses. The campaign depicts many industry clichés such as fashion show sittings, runway escapades, editorial shoots and the frenzied atmosphere of fashion week.
The fashion world is often seen as incredibly glamorous and almost untouchable in a sense, and the imagery created for Gucci’s fall 2019 campaign plays homage to these stereotypes in the best possible way. Gucci’s newest bags were featured in the campaign, of course, including the sleek and structured top handle flap bag we first saw on the runway back in February. View the entire campaign below.

I used to love Gucci…
I really like Image #22 cause it actually looks clean, sleek, and wearable for the fall. SO glad the model wasn’t forced to wear one of those hideous spiked mask.
I absolutely love it. It reminds me of print ads from the Mad Men era with a modern twist. There is also more diversity in Gucci’s ad campaigns than in most other houses’ campaigns, and they do it well. It doesn’t look like they threw in one token black woman and one token larger woman, but rather like these models could be real people who actually hang out with each other and live their lives.
I don’t love most of the items depicted but I’m really enjoying the overall spirit and aesthetic of the campaign, and that has a halo effect on the clothes and bags.
I like most of the Gucci bags, but their campaign is too avant garde, sexual, garish and borders on nightmarish!
Atrocious; but glad stockings are making a comeback. The little white dog looked like she was choking with that spiked collar.
That’s a lot to take in. These only work in editorials and on special occasions. It could be too much for day to ah but I’m all for living your best, extra life.
Too much going on and just way too bizarre.
LOL, photo 22 looks like it was pulled from a 1973 issue of Seventeen magazine (which I happen to still have). Photo 27 looks like a risqué photo of a sweater from one of my Mom’s knitting pattern magazines from the same year. And photo 19 could also have been pulled from Seventeen, although more likely the late 1960s.
I like the red handbag with the lady holding the newspaper
This is the way I was dressing from my grandma’s vintage closet when i was 7 to play fashion! I think I would have done a better job
Hideous and gross no thanks
I’m installing a new floor in my bathroom. The knee pads in #16 and #18 would be great and I’d look super stylish! Who knew that Gucci was in the home remodel business! 🙂
????
Bravo, Gucci!! I absolutely love this, very Mad Men meets a dark 2019.
The dress in slide 22 is stunning!
I live for Gucci ad campaigns. They are SO MUCH and it’s all such a gorgeous nightmare. This is what I want from a fashion house.
The spiked face masks remind me the “Silence of the Lambs.” Can’t get past that. Oh, and the knee pads either are an Ode to BJs or a joke about women’s roller derby. Can’t decide which one.
Definitely love that black patent bag with gold chain (#4 with the women in the red boots). Very subtle but very Gucci with the beautiful fine chain and thick chain clasp. I really like the yellow bag as well (#12). All the outfit photos there are some really nice beautiful pieces but they are matched with hideous pieces – really distracting from the actual great unique pieces which is disappointing.
Horrible and tacky
Gucci has lost the plot!
Eh, looks like it’s trying too hard to be relevant/edgy to me.
I would wear those yellow rain boots (?) so often.
Love love love! Impressive and unique composition. Far better than Louis Vuitton’s Fall 19 advertisement campaign. They are truly pure art piece and like having an aged good wine.
Well done GUCCI!
