Gucci Adorns Its Fan Favorite Bags With an Apple Motif

Introducing the GG Apple Collection

If you’re a handbag lover, when you think Gucci, you likely think of the brand’s iconic GG Supreme canvas. Gucci’s monogram canvas print is one of the the brand’s most storied and recognizable House codes. Now, in celebration of Chinese Valentine’s Day, Alessandro Michele has taken an iconic house classic and reimagined it in a whimsical, playful way. Introducing, the Gucci GG Apple Collection.

For this collection, Gucci‘s emblematic monogram is playfully reinterpreted with a cartoonish style apple print. The line of RTW, bags and accessories takes some of Gucci’s most loved styles and adorns them with a freshly created, sketch-like motif, and the result is a fun capsule collection designed as gifts for Chinese Valentine’s Day.

Whether you’re celebrating Chinese Valentine’s Day or not, this capsule collection is unique and whimsical, putting a light spin on some of Gucci’s classic styles. As for the bags, styles from the Padlock collection are seen in this curated capsule, as well as other monogram styles like a camera bag style silhouette and a dainty Wallet on Chain. Additionally, Gucci has also taken its beloved GG Marmont collection and splattered its new print onto off-white leather versions of its Marmont bags. I’m a teacher and would love to have this.

Also, because I’m a teacher, I can’t afford to pay $690 for a t-shirt.

Oh well, champagne dreams on a tap water budget.

Ha, exactly! Time to find a parent who has lots of money and kindly request this in place of a real apple….

Sandy

I really like graphic T-shirt’s and this one is so good! The bags are nice as well.

At $690 for a tshirt you’d wanna LOVE it ?

if you are young this might apple- eal (lol) to you but really it reminds me of some Hello Kitty graphics on a classic bag. Not a fan of any of the above…..

Just…no….unless you are the 5 year old offspring of a Kardashian. The skunk is a hint…

Total agreement. This is a very juvenile looking collection. if I would spend $1,150 on a bag for a child, I’d get one for my 7 year-old niece. I think it would be too juvenile for her 11-year-old sister.

Well, at least Gucci recognizes this design is a real stinker… notice the skunk artfully placed next to the model on the bench. At first, I thought this was a cartoon image or a spoof on Vuitton’s older cherry motif. Nope….

I can’t find the bags with the white background on Gucci. Do you know how to get those in the US?

Agnes

Better than most “fun” prints from Gucci and LV etc! This is actually quite cute without being too much! Just a “fun touch”.

Julie

Is that a skunk in the picture of the sitting woman? I’m serious – I’m from Australia so have never seen one ?. Why would you put a skunk in a fancy photo shoot???

Lynnie

It’s a skunk! Gucci probably put it in cuz they like playing with the line of absurd and high fashion in their campaigns. Adding a skunk is also striking and. ambiguous enough that the viewer will add their own interpretation, and share with their friends, while fashion sites will probs use this image in their articles on the collection. Both achieve Gucci’s goal of free advertising and attention.
