There are plenty of worthy gifts most of us would be overjoyed to see under the tree this year, but as you might have guessed, the gift we’re hoping you all receive is a beautiful new handbag. (At least as far as material gifts go.) When it comes to handbag gifts, as in all things handbag-related, we have some opinions and suggestions as you begin your journey into the gift-giving season.
Maybe you’re a regular PurseBlog reader who would like to give your loved ones a nudge in the right direction on what you’d like this year, or maybe you’re the relative of a bag-lover who’s found him- or herself here looking for some help in selecting the perfect gift; either way, we’ve assembled over two dozen suggestions. Those include bags in many different styles, sizes and colors in prices ranging from attainable to extravagant; we think they’re all crowd-pleasers.
I do love The Row Sideby bag, the Valentino Rockstud camera bag and anything Sophie Hulme.
Agree!! Her design is unique and stunning!
Agree… would love to see more from PB on Sophie Hulme; her bags are beautiful and so distinctive.
That Chloe Hudson bag reminds me of a pet tarantula you would see on an “Addams Family ” movie. It creeps me out every time I see it.
Another bag trying to hard. Chunky side hardware is overpowering.
I think the tassels wouldn’t be so bad if they were attached to the bottom of the bag. Putting them on the flap… every time you open the bag the tassels go flapping about.
That baby blue Alexander Wang Rockie is killing me. I know the “moment” has long since passed for the Rockies and Roccos, but I’m still lusting after it as much as I did when it first came out. Maybe not on a recent college grad’s budget, but someday…
guys what’s happening with talkshoes? 🙁
We are working on transitioning the shoe-related content to PB!
oh fair enough, thanks for the reply!
I wasn’t a big fan of the Sac Du Jour but this combo of suede&croc is to die for…. SO chic and elegant…..
Givenchy Nightingale is really growing on me. Elegant and understated. Looks like its a workhorse too. A good travel bag.
Anybody have experience with Sophie Hulme bags? They’re gorgeous and I’m about to get one!
I’ve had the mini envelope bag for about 2 years now and I love it. Whenever I take it out, I love the occasional recognition the bag gets from other bag lovers like myself. Apart from this, its a super gorgeous bag and you can see/feel the craftsmanship that went into making it. And to think it costs under £500, its a steal!
That Mac Crossbody is gorgeous and unlike anything Ive seen before!
Many times people are afraid to experiment with bright colors, but if it’s the right style and size, a bright bag can make one a standout at any occasion. I LOVE the Alexander Wang bag because the baby blue hint makes it wearable during any season. It’s not too eccentric, but it catches the eye right away. The gold spikes on the bottom prevent any dirt/smudge from damaging the bag. Check out my blog for more inspiration on how to pair a brighter accessory with a simple outfit: http://telavivcouture.blogspot.com/
Cheers!

I just got #9 the other day! super cute!
Does anyone have experience with the Celine belt bag? I really like the looks of it, but wonder how practical it is in use with the single handle in the middle of the bag.
