One of the most important fashion months in recent history is behind us, and while we’ve talked plenty about all the fantastic things we saw on (and off) the runways, we’ve yet to make sense of everything that we saw from a trend perspective.
Of course, looking at each show individually gives a look at any given brand’s direction for the coming season—or, like this year, a first look at a brand’s new vision overall. Analyzing the season as a whole offers a first glimpse into what will be trending in the coming season.
We pored over the runway shows of the major luxury players in the handbag world as well as some of the lesser-talked-about brands to bring you the five things we spotted repeatedly from New York to Paris and back! Let’s get into it!
Chic Lady Bags
While big, roomy bags where everywhere this season, we also loved to see a return to sleek, structured or semi-structured lady bags. While some had longer straps perfect for shoulder wear, others took the top-handle route.

Soft Suedes
Suede is sticking around for Spring, quickly rebranding itself as a more than just a seasonal staple. We spotted it everywhere from Bottega Veneta and Chanel to Dior and more.

Tons of Texture
Texture was everywhere this season! We’re talking about everything from wonderful wovens to feathers and, yes, fringe. Like it or not, fringe will continue to trend right on into 2026, and this season, it was everywhere, often overlapping with some of the seasons’ other trends.
At Fendi and Bottega, fringe in pretty pastels wowed while Michael Kors combined fringe with intricate woven leather for a double dose of texture.
Pops of Pastel
Much of this season felt overwhelming neutral, but there were some respites from a sea of browns and blacks, and many of those pops of color came in the form of pastels. Muted pinks and soft yellows were mostly the hues of choice.

Elegant Exotics
Few trends were as ubiquitous this season as exotic skins—real or faux. Nearly every major collection had at least one standout skin on the runway, and we are here to give it our stamp of approval!
None of these things are “trends.” We literally see them every single year.
Thanks, it’s always good to know what is coming before you invest. Love that Coach bag.
