For those of you who were disappointed that Chanel’s Fall 2011 runway show only featured a couple of handbag styles, fret not. We have a few more pieces to show you, courtesy of the fine folks at Style.com, plus a closer look at the modified flap bags that were featured on several models during the presentation.
This still isn’t enough to evaluate the whole collection, but I like most of what I see so far. Although I don’t entirely understand the photo of the gold python bag(s) (is it one or two?), I simply adore the finish of the material and hope to see it on lots of accessories come fall. In addition to the runway bags, designs of which you guys already know I approve, I’m also digging the post-apocalyptic python flap bag up top. It looks like it’s decomposing, but against all odds, Chanel makes it work in the context of the dystopian Fall 2011 collection. Check out the photos after the jump.

Totally…it looks like someone took the poor python chanel to a party and the person sitting next to them puked up all over it. Seriously not liking the others either.

Hmmmm I did not fall for this collection personally it just lacks chanels usual luxe chic it’s darker more glam rocker not loooooving it.
i could not agree more , they are taking chanel in a totaly different way from what i have always known and loved !!!!

Coco Chanel must be cringing in her grave. That 2.55 (first bag) is, IMO, nothing that should bear the name Chanel. I think it is a horrible mess.

The python is divine, but the singed + moldy treatment of lambskin is a travesty. If it ain’t broke, Chanel, don’t fix it!

Hmm bag#1 is very innovative and from an artistic standpoint, I really dig it, but would I wear it? No way, it’s just too weird and looks like puke is dribbled on an otherwise gorgeous purse.

I think picture #5 (the two-bag picture) is of a bag and the matching clutch. Chanel is too stylish to combine two bags into one.
