At the end of every year Chanel lovers are given one last little treat in the form of a stunning artisanal collection. Last year was no different, and now Chanel’s Métiers d’Art 2021 collection has finally hit boutiques and we’ve got the scoop. Métiers d’Art literally translates to ‘art professions’ and with this collection Virginie Viard chose to celebrate the skills and expertise associated with French craftsmanship and the artisans who perfect it. The presentation was held in December at the Château de Chenonceau, which was said to be evocative of Coco Chanel’s home located in the South of France.
The silhouettes presented are stunning, but wearable works of art. There are velvet flap bags, mini bags and more. Every style is dressed in intricate details, whether it be pearls, chains, crystals, or a combination of the three, the pieces have no shortage of luxe.
