Jennifer Garner seems to lead a semi-normal life, when compared with most of her Hollywood peers. In a lot of ways, she’s just like most moms: she shops, she has work meetings, she goes to church. She seems to have zero interest in being seen outside of Catch, or getting boozy at The Nice Guy, or even gallivanting around town with one of those giant green juices. Jennifer seems to relish normalcy, and after a career half-spent on tabloid covers, who can blame her? All that rationale even trickles down to her designer handbag picks, which are always imminently reasonable.
Céline Phantom Cabas Bag
$1,169 via Vestiaire Collective
Here’s Jennifer, doing a little shopping with pals in LA. She’s carrying a bright blue Céline Phantom Cabas Bag. Jennifer tends to prefer totes and top-handles, and Céline specifically.
Céline Ring Bag
$1,635 via Vestiaire Collective
Jennifer carried this dark Céline Ring Bag to church just last week. She occasionally brings her kids along, but she seems to get her praise on solo more often these days, perhaps to shield the kids from the cameras.
Céline Ring Bag
$1,635 via Vestiaire Collective
And here she is carrying the same Céline Ring Bag to a meeting in NYC earlier this year. The Ring is an extremely versatile style, but the brand seems to be intent on phasing it out.
Chloé Faye Bag
$1,940 via Net-a-Porter
Jennifer and Céline aren’t exclusive, of course. She’s also partial to Chloé‘s new stable of styles. She carried this black leather and suede Chloé Faye during a recent church outing.
Chloé Faye Bag
$1,390 via Net-a-Porter
Here she is out shopping in NYC with a smaller, grey version of the Faye. If you haven’t noticed by now, Jennifer is pretty dedicated to neutral hues.
Dolce & Gabbana Monica Bag
$2,295 via SSENSE
Speaking of, Jennifer carried this neutral leather top-handled D&G Monica Bag for one of her most recent trips to the salon.
Hermès Octagone Bag
Jen incorporated a dash of color into her Sunday style game with this unusual burgundy Hermès Octagone Bag with a striped strap.
Tod’s Cape Bag
$1,845 via Saks
And finally, here’s Jennifer outside of her church once again with a gorgeous black patent leather Tod’s Cape Bag. And in case you missed it, she’s actually worn this outfit to church TWICE. Stars. They’re just like us!
I think she looks amazing. She looks like a Mom with expensive mom clothes and mom bags. Good for her!
“Mom jeans” fall in that mom clothes category and we can all conjure up that image in our heads. Expensive does not make it attractive or hot. The slacks in Slide 4 make me cringe. She is too young and good looking to fall into that style. Why do mom’s always have to look boring and sensible? Like there’s an approved mom uniform…
Slide 4 is a dress. Do you mean slide 3?
Jennifer Garner is one of a few celebs who can be classified as a breath of fresh air. Not only is she insanely beautiful – but she seems to be focused on what’s important — her kids. Love her.
I love Jennifer Garner no matter what she wears. She has a beauty that’s more than skin deep, kind of like Audrey Hepburn.
I’ve always admired her style in everything. She looks like a real person who has a life, not the plethora of actresses who dress because they hope to be photographed by the paparazzi to boost their career.
Really classy, I love her taste in classic chic outfits and handbags.
Talk about frump town
Those pics were depressing. Why is she trying to look 55?
This girl needs to get her sexy back on
My perspective is that she doesn’t really know how to have fun with her clothes. She wears sensible and logical clothes, but she lacks “that” factor. Because of that, I don’t understand why she bothers to keep changing bags, especially from this black tote to a similar looking that black bag.
Clearly she doesnt feel the need to dress for other peoples’ tastes. I doubt she wakes up thinking “i’m going to dress cool and hip to impress every Irene in a comments section”… Try celebrating other people, instead of insulting them, and wondering why they dont fit your mold of how a person should look.
I didn’t say dress to impress,
I’m saying she is beautiful and dresses like a 70 year old in some of these pictures. She does care because she has good taste in high end bags so clearly she is aware of making an impression. Calling her gorgeous and beautiful is not an insult. I said those great slacks and that get up in slide 3 needs to go.
