Social media, and Instagram specifically, continues to be the place that both fuels me creatively but somehow sucks the time from me that I could be using to create. Where fashion is concerned, Instagram is not only a place to discover new brands but also where I build mood boards and source inspiration for the coming season.
The save feature allows me to create mood boards, and I’ll spend time organizing the images so that they flow together aesthetically. In many ways, it does for me what Tumblr used to do—curate the creative thoughts and visions swirling around in my head.
Late Summer Style: Colorful Yet Transitional

As the seasons change, so does my mood board. Currently, I’m in my late summer era—still colorful and fun, but trading endless shorts and skirts for pants and the occasional long sleeve. I’ve got polka dots on the brain, too—and if you know me, you know I’ve been donning polka dots long before they became ubiquitous.
Today, I’m sharing 10 items I’ve got in my never-ending cart, all inspired by my most recent saves. If you’re looking for more inspiration, follow along, all shared to my highlights!

A vintage Fendi is ALWAYS on my mood board and wishlist.

I am really into green again lately!

These are not the Alaïa pants I really want, but they’ll do the trick. I’d pair them with the green baby tee above!

I wear the Repetto ballet flats I got in Paris far too often—it’s time for another pair, and I love the contrast trim on these!

Scarf girl summer is going strong!

This is the perfect transitional piece for late summer into fall! I’d wear it during the day with ballet flats or at night with a kitten heel slingback, and when it gets cooler, I’d add a sweater tied around my neck.

Said slingbacks!

My closet is craving a more minimalist silhouette, and who better for that than The Row?

Track shorts were on my mood board all summer, but I never found the perfect pair. As we inch closer to cooler weather, I’ve moved on to track pants, and these silk ones are the ideal mix of sporty but chic.

These aren’t even inspired by, but are the exact version I pinned! What can I say, I’m a sneaker girl through and through. I like the green laces better, to be honest, but the option to interchange is nice too!
