A Look At Bottega Veneta’s Fall 2020 Bags

Daniel Lee's newest bags are now in stores (and online too!)

Earlier this year, just before the world went on pause, Bottega Veneta presented its fall 2020 collection at Milan Fashion Week to much anticipation. The presentation was only designer Daniel Lee’s third for the brand, but following previous handbag and accessory hits like the coveted Pouch and Cassette, the fashion world wondered what Lee would cook up next. Lee’s new designs and modern aesthetic has been embraced by many, and while we got our first glimpse at the brand’s newest bags last winter, we now have full details as Bottega Veneta’s fall collection just hit stores. Below we’ve rounded up the 3 key styles we’re loving this fall. Do you have a favorite?

THE CRISSCROSS

Lee embraces Intrecciato weave this season, showcasing one of Bottega’s most iconic brand elements throughout the collection. For fall 2020, The Crisscross continues to evolve, described as a ‘transmitter of pure joie de vivre’. While the Fringe Crisscross clutch is eye-catching and more avant-garde, featuring supple leather strips cascading from the contorted silhouette, there is also a more paired back option. The BV Crisscross clutch is more suitable for everyday wear.

THE FOLD

Another iteration of one of the House’s most recognizable emblems comes in the form of a new silhouette entirely. The Fold bag takes inspiration from Bottega’s incredible archive. It is defined by a body made completely of Intrecciato leather with a fold-over top. Its shape is unique and new, yet versatile and functional at the same time with its crossbody strap and multiple size options. Metallic studded embellishments add a playful twist to the otherwise monochromatic bag.

THE SHOULDER BAG

This unique new silhouette is hand-crocheted in tubular jersey with a flap closure and a circular press-button closure. A removable gold chain strap allows for dual-functionality as the shoulder style flap bag can also be carried as a clutch. One of Lee’s more novelty designs, this bag is the perfect statement accessory in either a neutral shade such as black or off-white, but the kiwi green adds a perfect pop of color.

The Shoulder Bag is really cute!! But $4,500 for jersey knit… X_x

Tana

Maybe the strap made out of 18kt gold or something 😀

BV really increased prices up like crazy…wow…

WEST LEE

Yea, Chanel pricing.

I took a look at the criss cross on their site. It’s beautiful but if you put anything in it seems it would loose the silhouette.

Uggla

I love them but they are sooo expensive! ? Is there any longivity to them or are they just trendy? At least with Chanel you kind of know what you buy.

Sandy

The Fold is really the only user friendly option here, maybe you have to see them IRL to get the designs usefulness. Sorry, other than the padded a Cassette bag I really do not get all the hype with BV bags. The padded Cassette is very nice to look at but it doesn’t really hold much at all. I do however like some of the clothing and shoe options at BV.

Now BV is annoying me and others with their pricing! If you are going the Chanel route then No thank you!!

Heidi

I think they are nice, but the fringe is too much! I can’t navigate a bag under my arm with 5′ of fringe hanging from it.

I don’t like any of these styles and the prices seem excessive

psny15

oh BV – stick to your classic – these funky styles are horrendous but the prices are even more cray cray

Mia

Not into the fringe at all, but the Criss-Cross without the fringe is pretty darn cool. The rest is okay.
