MBMJ Dr Q Groovee Lavendar

I’ll be brief here, because we already all know that I adore the Marc by Marc Jacobs Dr. Q Groovee Satchel in general.

It’s a great bag, it uses great leather, it’s very functional, and it looks way more expensive than it is. All in all, a real winner and a bag that I’m glad they’ve continued to produced. I saw it in the brand’s new lavender color several days ago, though, and…I simply cannot abide this color. It’s darker in real life than it is in this picture, and it’s so pastel and Easter-y that it frankly made me a little nervous. I hate pastels. Most people SHOULD hate pastels, because they go with very few skin tones, and they certainly don’t go with mine. What say you? Buy through Barneys for $498.

It goes with my skin tone, but just because you CAN wear something doesn’t mean you SHOULD. Easter Egg indeed…barf. And for Fall? Really?

nearly freaked out because at first glance this looked winter white on my screen. and wouldn’t that be awesome?!? and then i read it was the lavender shade and i was very very sad. nordstrom online has a much better depiction of the color, which is as drab dusty and muddled as it appears. it’s good if you like spring pastels that have been sitting on the side of the freeway all summer and now is covered in a layer of smoggy city grime.
