Wow! Now THIS is an edgy bag that I can wrap my mind around. Ok, I am about to state the obvious, but hear me out for a second. A little while ago I was kind of over Foley + Corinna bags. They all seemed to be the same just available in different colors or slightly different sizes. Anyone else with me on that?

So, today, I started looking around at what Bloomingdale’s has available. Per usual, I found myself going from item to item, giving a mental thumbs up or thumbs down and continuing on. As I ventured back to the handbag section I saw a lot of what I’ve seen before. That was until I came across this beauty.

I was absolutely shocked, in a good way, at this Foley + Corinna Wrapped Chain Leather and Mesh Crossbody Bag. This glazed leather tote is adorned with metallic mesh detailing. Obviously, you have to be in the market for a highly edgy and flashy bag to appreciate this one, but if you are, it is the bag for you. The single wrapped shoulder strap (22″ drop) has tassel details. For once, the tassels are less noticeable than the other mesh detailing. Bloomie’s has noted that this is one of their “must-haves” and I have to agree with them. This bag is a must-have as well as a step in the right direction for Foley + Corinna. Buy through Bloomingdale’s for $325.

This is an absolute win. It’s a little bit rocker and still practical; all of those elements could have gone horribly wrong together and this bag makes them right. Plus, it’s crossbody, very in this season and easy to use.

Well, weird, but I am completely passing on it. I do not mind edgy bags at all, but this bag is not happening for me one bit. Looked at it a gazillion times to see if I can get a slightest excitement, and – nothing. Anyone else?

It’s cute, yes – but certainly not edgy in the way that Alexander Wang or Alexander McQueen (RIP) bags are fantastically edgy. I would be curious to see how it is constructed as well. My experience with F+C workmanship to date has been very disappointing. The bags are very unfinished and sloppily constructed for the price point, unfortunately – both of the City Bags that I ordered a few years ago were returned in a flash.

I love this style! I’m checking out their website and there is a tote version as well (that looks kinda like a hobo).

This one is cute because it’s kinda quirky and off a little bit. The only time that I wear a cross body bag is when I am at my kids’ football games so I wouldn’t spend this money for something that I’ll wear only on the weekends for a couple of months a year.

About the practicality, as Loquita mentioned the construction aspects – I wonder if the metallic details will scratch the clothes. I have sweaters and even coats damaged by metallic decoration of bags, and I am really conscious about it.
