New York is a city of rich, intense, constantly changing visuals. From the iconic architecture to the endlessly interesting people who dwell here, there’s so much to look at and take in that sometimes we don’t know where to look next. That means that sometimes we miss the incredible work of New York’s legions of talented muralists and street artists, but now that spring is in the air, we’ve teamed up with Coach to hit the streets, shoot some exclusive photos, explore the brand’s beautiful Spring 2014 collection and highlight some of our favorite public art in the city we all call home.
When Matthew Rubinger launched the luxury accessories category at Heritage Auctions in 2010, the New York City resident was only just out of Vanderbilt University. During his tenure at Heritage as Director for Luxury Accessories, the pre-owned luxury handbag business has exploded both at live auctions and online, landing Rubinger on Forbes’ “30 Under 30″ list for 2014, as well as on CNN and The Wall Street Journal.
When our friends at Net-A-Porter reached out to see if we loved Loewe bags as much as they do, I nearly jumped on my chair, Tom Cruise-style, to yell out “YES!” Loewe is a brand I’ve always loved even though it’s tricky to track down in the US, but that will all change. One of our favorite e-tailers will be carrying the coveted Spanish brand and I’m thrilled.
While some stores are offering discounts today for Cyber Monday, others are revamping their look and releasing new products online. Our friends at Salvatore Ferragamo took the kickoff of holiday shopping season to completely redesign their e-commerce site, which is much more user friendly and sleek.
Not only is the site completely made over, but it also features the brand new hobo style designed by Massimiliano Giornetti from the Resort 2013 collection.
I don’t know if you’ve tried to buy a Chanel bag recently, but it can be downright difficult to find even something as basic as a black Chanel Classic Flap. Demand for the brand’s bags seems to be nearly endless, and seasonal styles and collection staples alike are here today, gone tomorrow. Not to mention the prices, which are perpetually rising.
This is one of those exclusives that I both curse and welcome at the same time: We have the first look at the Hermes bags that will be available on Moda Operandi later tonight! The sale begins tonight at 7 pm EST, but you have one hour to drool over the goods and possibly plan a purchase before anyone else.
The partnership for this sale is between Heritage Auctions and Moda Operandi, which decided to offer an exclusive trunk show of many rare and one-of-a-kind Hermes Bags.
Fashion’s most coveted site, Moda Operandi, will launch an exclusive trunk show tomorrow of the limited edition Roger Vivier Fall 2011 Couture Collection, dubbed Rendez-Vous. The first place you can see what will be offered is right here, thanks to our friends at Moda Operandi. The trunk show is made up of a small but entirely gorgeous collection of five shoe designs and seven bags.
This is my favorite phase of our exclusive bag design collaboration with Rebecca Minkoff thus far, because in Phase III we get to see the brand new bag designs Rebecca and her team have developed! We have five options to choose from, and we took every single one of your votes into account to create what we think will be the ideal Rebecca Minkoff bag for her PurseForum Minkettes fanbase.
Phase I of of PurseForum + Rebecca Minkoff Exclusive Bag Design Collaboration took the PurseForum readers and voters by storm. The overwhelming number of votes went to the coveted Satchel, which we all know Rebecca Minkoff designs amazingly. Phase II is well underway and this is the phase I have been most excited about.
Have you ever wanted to tell a designer EXACTLY what you want to see in a handbag?
You have no idea how excited I have been while sitting down with the Rebecca Minkoff team to come up with an opportunity that has never been seen before in the handbag world! We knew we wanted to collaborate on a bag design, but it was super important for us to include Rebecca’s very first fan base, the PurseForum Minkettes, in the process.
