It seems like Chanel puts out new bags at an almost impossible pace, and now it’s time for another new set to lust after. Chanel’s Fall 2015 Pre-Collection bags have arrived in stores as well as to the brand’s online lookbook, and we’ve got all the images and price information below.
The most notable new addition in this group is new hardware for some of the Boy Bags, although it’s termed as the “Original Clasp.” I checked runway photos from the Boy Bag’s Fall 2012 debut and those bags used the same clasp hardware as most Boys have, so the term “Original” seems odd, unless perhaps this was the hardware design first created for the bag and was later replaced before production. (There is, of course, a possibility that this clasp design is instead from somewhere else in the vast Chanel archives.)
Other than that, what’s available in the pre-collection will look familiar to Chanel fans: the brand’s favorites in new fabrications and embellishments. Check the collection out below.

Some beautiful bags but nothing that I can’t live without, which is good since their prices are getting crazier each season!
I like the simplicity of these bags. They are all based on classic designs and don’t have too many “bells and whistles”. I really like the tweed flap bad. Lovely.
Lots to love in this collection. Nothing overly crazy and I like the expanded options in velvet (although they’re a bit overpriced for fabric). #19 is fun if you’re young and have 6K to blow on a clutch 🙂 The one real misstep for me is the combo in #3 of a Chanel plaque above a CC closure. That bag is either very insecure or having an identity crisis!
I like some of the bags, but nothing that makes me want to drop that kind of money. It’s good to see Chanel show some restraint.

That is the original clasp. The Boy bag debuted in Fall 2011 with that clasp, not Fall 2012. Fall 2012 had all the velvet boys. The newer clasp debuted Resort 2012.
I don’t like any of these bags at all. For me, Chanel’s been lacking its charm for a couple years now. Some pieces seem nice, but not enough to make me buy. I’m sad, but my wallet is very happy. I feel like it’s time to move on.

I really do like a few of these but their prices have gone so sky high! Makes me glad I already have a nice Chanel collection – at these prices, I doubt I’ll be adding to it.

I have the lizard handle flap bag in grey. It is stunning. I get stopped about it all the time when I am out. inside is roomy, plenty of pockets – A great bag in grey.
I kinda like the clasp design on some of the new styles? has a vintage look to it. Other than that.. im getting tired of the overall chanel design…
