This is one of those posts that needs little introduction. Celine’s Fall 2014 handbags (which are pre-fall, in tradition industry terms) have surfaced in the form of an official lookbook, and contained therein is a lot of what we’ve come to expect from Celine, plus a few interesting handbag debuts.
The most notable of the new additions to the lineup is the Celine Belt Bag, which has a front strap detail somewhat similar to a popular bag from The Row, but with a more undone, casual feel. It’s the winner of the group, along with a relaunch of the brand’s pristine Doctor Bags, this time with a petite shoulder version to match. The other most noticeable new edition, the Celine Top Handle Bag (whose primary feature is, you guessed it, a very strong single top handle) feels a little bit overcooked, design-wise.
These bags should be available in Celine boutiques and department stores at the end of summer; prices are not yet available, but when we have more information, you guys will be the first to know.
Bag No. 7 look too much like a Louis Vuitton bag with Suhali leather.
Agree! It is exactly similar to Louis Vuitton L’Ingenieux Doctor Bag in Suhali leather and Bag no. 4, 5, 6 also kinda resemble Louis Vuitton Cuir Graine Doctor Bag from the brand’s F/W 2010 runway show collection.
Hmmm… I am probably one of the only bag enthusiasts left out there that has not added a Celine to their collection. None of the above are calling my name…I keep thinking I should just buy a Luggage Tote…
Nope… I’m right there with you. Most of the Celine styles look overdesigned to me… nothing to get excited about. Styles like #8 always look to me as though they have hips. The only ones that tempt me in this collection are the black & the burgundy bags with the gold double chain straps (#33 & #34). But with no prices listed, who knows if even those are worth the money?
Same here, I try to love their bags too but I can’t. Some of them look good when I see other people carrying them, but IRL they are heavy! And just not too functional to me, and the prices, quite insane!
The croc tiny bag (photo #3) and clutch really tickle my fancy. A girl can dream!
Are they really going to release the Shoulder Cabas this fall? It was not in production with the summer collection. I was very disappointed.

Nordstrom Fashion Valley in San Diego definitely carries that style in another color.
I love every single piece of this collection. Can’t wait until they hit the shelves. i better start saving asap. Phoebe is a genius!
I’m also loving the belt bag…eventhough I should probably keep that to myself until I see the price or until Celine releases it for fear that they’ll simply double it in anticipation of my credit card swipe.
I also really love that bubblegum pink box!! So girly but maybe a little late in the year for that color.
Personally I found this collection quite fugly to be frank…probably an unpopular opinion.

Color of number 4: to die for!!!
I am underwhelmed. Not sure if it’s the colors or designs but I find this collection to be a bit matronly. #16 and #17 are probably my favorites but I don’t see myself wanting to run to the store to purchase. And is it just me or are the mini luggage getting uglier by the day?

Once upon a time, when Celine came out with their phantom luggage bags, I went to the store and bought 4 bags. Having spent a fortune on these bags, especially the ones in exotic skin, i could not be more stupid having done so. Clearly, these bags will never be their classics, they keep changing the details on the bag (apart from making them plain ugly), these knots on the bags…urgh…then i started seeing teenage girls wearing beaten up Celine bags as well as copies of them. I’m just glad i managed to get rid of them via ebay and VC – did lose a ton of money. I’ll stick to my Hermes.
