Studding on a handbag has to be done right to look flashy not trashy. Marc Jacobs’ Sweet Punk line was a huge hit, offering the right stud detailing to lure in the trendy crowds. But the price is not as captivating for the gal who is looking for a little bit of rocker chic without wanting to spend her entire budget. And like I have said before, if you want to put money into a trend that is not 100% you, opt for a more affordable bag that fits in that trend. Perfect for those who love studs but are not crazy about them, the Loeffler Randall Clutches are affordable fun options. There is one version with shiny snakeskin-embossed leather and another with smooth calfskin. Both feature polished gold metal hardware with pointed studs on the front. These clutches are fun and funky, adding the perfect edginess that you crave. I can see many girls at bars rocking these out. Best yet is the price. One of my favorite designers that does the envelope clutch beautifully is VBH (I am still in love with their Python Clutch). Yet Loeffler Randall completes their envelope clutch great and the price is very reasonable. Dimensions are 9.5″x 5.5″. BCBG Max Azria Double Flap Clutch
So the oversized clutch trend is all the rage, but it may not be for you. And while it may not be for you, there may be that little part of you that keeps wanting to have that large clutch just to try it out. I don’t know about you, but I do not have the endless bank account to continue to buy every high end bag with each new trend. So I sit here wishing and hoping for the Fendi Rainbow Clutch call to come, telling me that the bag is in and I can come get it. But I will be hugely disappointed if the colors are harsh, not soft. Now I am thinking to find something large, cute, and affordable. That is what the BCBG Max Azria Double Flap Clutch is for me; it fits the oversized trend, it has a nice patent leather accent, and looks good. Notice I said it looks good, not great. I am not about to go buy it, because even for $200 I think I can find something better, but this is still cute and could easily meet the fancy of some of you. The inside is lined in nylon, has two large slits, and a magnetic snap closure. Dimensions are 13″W X 8½”H X 1″D. Nothing mind-blowing, nothing that has me clicking away to buy, but it is an option. Juicy Couture Patent Leather Lovely Bag
You all know I have not been a huge fan of Juicy Couture Bags in the past. I will even admit that I was a bit harsh. You see, their bags appealed to me when they first came out. I was in high school still and they were perfect for what I needed. But about six months later I needed more and I did not find that in the Juicy Bags. While their bags appeal to a younger crowd, I finally found a bag from Juicy that will appeal to a larger group. The shape, size, and look of the Juicy Couture Patent Leather Lovely Bag really brings Juicy to a new level in the handbag world. The shape is clever and easy to dress up if you are older or have fun with if you are younger. The color is called angel, it is like a slight beige hue mixed with white, which is perfect for this spring and summer. The patent leather is offset with suede and woven canvas trim and contrast topstitching. The other reason I like this bag is it is simple. Juicy Couture is known for their charms and extra add-ons, but sometimes we just want simple. This is an incredibly clean look for the brand and I would venture to say most looking at the bag would not even realize this was Juicy Couture. Dimensions are 12.5″x 12.25″x 6″. R & Y Augousti Shagreen Minaudiere
R & Y Augousti is known for their furniture and decorative objects. The brand brings a eclectic touch to its line and now includes handbags and purses in exotic skins and natural materials. The furniture is quite appealing and can work in many different styles of homes, adding that funky touch to the contemporary room. But what are your thoughts on this handbag? The R & Y Augousti Minaudiere is a modern take on an evening bag, featuring a bronze body with red shagreen and an ostrich leg center inlay. The interior is lined in velvet and the clutch measures 8.25″ x 3.5″. With such an artistic feel, I expected this clutch to cost at least $1,000 more than it does. Mulberry Antony Messenger Bag
I have been a fan of this Mulberry bag from day one. It is small, practical, and cute. It is like the perfect tourist bag and the perfect bag if you do not have young children. Because while the dimensions of the Mulberry Antony Messenger Bag are decent (8″W x 10.5″H x 3″D), they are not quite large enough for the woman with young children who require hoards of carry-ons. This bag features black leather and golden hardware. The top has a flap closure with a clasp fastening, which is easy enough to get in and out of, and an adjustable canvas shoulder strap (18.5″ drop). When I say this is a great tourist bag, I mean for the tourist that is sensible. If you ever travel with me, you will notice, that I carry every single possible-possibility I may need. If you need Advil, an inhaler, Benadryl, 15 different lip glosses, three wallets, camera, batteries, map, water bottle, snack, etc. You can be assured that traveling with me means if there is a power outage and we are stuck in an elevator, we will be good for at least three days. So while this bag is not suitable for my travel needs (or daily needs for that matter), there are people out there much more practical when it comes to packing that this could work for. It is also great for the younger crowd that just does not need that big of a bag. Buy through NAP for $395.

Furla Elisabeth Medium Shoulder Bag
Croc-embossed leather has the ability of looking pretty chic or looking cheap. I have run into many bags that are croc-embossed and pull it off beautifully. But those that do not, well they just look quite tacky if you ask me. From a photo stand point, the Furla Elisabeth Medium Shoulder Bag has a great croc-embossed leather look to it. The hobo-shaped bag sports this faux-croc in a purple shade, which is very seasonal but a nice shade nonetheless. I realize that spring is on its way, so the pastels are coming out, but I find this bags very hard to use for more than a few months which makes them a no-go for me. But if you like this color and don’t mind it not lasting for months at a time, this is a good bag at a good price. There is a detachable canvas shoulder strap along with a leather shoulder strap. Dimensions are 17″W X 15″H X 5″D. So tell us, do you go for pastel bags or steer clear because they can not be used enough? Buy through Saks for $555.
