Valentino is returning to 70s maximalism under the creative direction of Alessandro Michele, and the result is a boho chic, quirky but cool aesthetic that has already resonated with fashion lovers and celebs alike. Michele’s sophomore show for the Fall 2025 season solidified his vision for Valentino, juxtaposing the House’s rich heritage with his distinct point of view.
Debuting on the runway was a chic new carryall, the Valentino Garavani Panthea Bag, which oozed a downtown cool appeal but in a way we’ve not seen since Michele left Gucci. Equal parts edgy, eccentric, and distinctly Michele, it was immediately apparent that this bag would be an important shape for the House of Valentino.
Deserving of a moment all its own, we gave the Valentino Garavani Panthea Bag the full New York experience, from getting runway ready (the streets are our runway, of course) to shopping and strolling in SoHo, hailing a yellow cab (they’re cheaper, duh), and dabbling in a little floral self-care.
The Valentino Garavani Panthea Bag tagged along on the adventure, proving to be the cool girl companion of the season!
8am – Getting Ready With the Valentino Garavani Panthea Bag
Defined by its patchwork chevron pattern, which offers a bit of edge, the Valentino Garavani Panthea Bag can be dressed up or down, depending on your mood. Standout details include enameled feline heads finished with shiny Swarovski® crystals.
10am – SoHo Coffee Walk, Talk and Shop
The bag’s size makes it the ideal carryall for a day out and about. It arrives in one size, and its mid-size interior is not too big, but not too small either, perfect for grabbing and going for a full day out. Overall dimensions are 13″ W x 7.7″ H x 3.5″ D.

1pm – Hailing a Cab to the Lower East Side
Where the Valentino Garavani Panthea Bag really shines is in its details—from the juxtaposition of the chevron’s shiny and matte leather to its antique gold-toned hardware and distinct Valentino V-Logo, the bag is a statement maker. Inside, you’ll find a nappa leather lining, an elevated detail, and a zippered pocket for organization.
3pm – Picking Out Flowers at Joy Flower Pot
Whether running around dressed up or having a casual day out dressed down, the Valentino Garavani Panthea Bag can do it all. Its gold-tone chain straps allow for shoulder carry, while a more casual studded leather shoulder strap ups the bag’s edge factor.

I like this bag more than I should
I think it’s beautiful. 💘
This bag looks cheap and tacky.
Don’t think so. It’s more like an elegant classic style with timeless vibe
But that’s my personal opinion and am getting it for my gf as a Christmas present 💝
The leather looks like it came out of grandmas closet and smells of mothballs and not in a good way
I wasn’t sure if I liked how this bag looked when I’ve seen the celebrity images, but these pics are selling me on it!
Love the concept of this campaign so much! And the bag looks just the right amount of lived-in to suit that frantic New York girl living too! So SATC- and/or DWP-coded 💫
I am curious about the chain. In my experience, only Chanel chains are comfortable. (Flaps and 2.55) I have Gucci and LV bags with chains, they hurt my shoulder.
Well this is a Valentino bag that I actually love. I need to see it in person ànd then if I get the same feeling my hubby will buy it for me
This bag is the opposite of anything remotely fashionable
I may have to break my no-buy ban specifically for this bag! I loved it the moment I saw it, and it looks so beautiful in this campaign! 😍 There are some really luxurious Valentino bags, and this is one of them!
Could you please review the Valentino Garavani ‘9to5’?
In person in amazing but it costs over 3K. I need your point of view. Thank you.
It looks very outdated and a bit tacky.
Mr. Michele has spewed out only non-Valentino style and unelegant stuff since he took over. Even the shoes are ugly.
I haven’t bought a thing Valentino since he took over and if this continues I will not buy in the time to come either. He has cheapened Valentino. Sad choice of designer.
