I’ve probably quoted the famous line in The Devil Wears Prada enough times to be like a broken record. “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” This segues into: “Seashells? For summer? Groundbreaking.” And even with a trend that’s nothing short of expected, we’ve still seen a major movement integrating shells into everything. While shelling (as in the act of going to the beach and collecting shells) is free, on the other side, we’ve seen the shell obsession given a luxury touch.
From the Shore to the Showroom: How Luxury Embraced the Sea

Most brands offer specific summer capsule collections, but this season, there’s been a strong tie-in to seashells and sea-centric items. Which loops me right back to the start of this post: groundbreaking!
A significant moment came about with luxury jewelry, with brands tying in diamonds and precious stones alongside pieces of the sea.
Brands including Fendi, Bottega Veneta, Chloé, Gucci, Dior, and others meticulously added shells into their wares—some using shells as embellishments, others using the shape of a shell as the dxesign inspiration for the item.
The sea, as the overarching theme, runs strong with anchors, netting (which is not really netting, but I’m going to call it netting in this case), and other sea-creature touches.

I love this look. Really like the Fendi bag and the Bottega Veneta earrings.
What a gorgeous roundup!!!!
The Bottega bag is really beautiful but the price tag is ridiculous. Anyone remembers when you could get a full leather BV bag for 1500 euros?
Those were the days of all bags being more accessible – and unfortunately, those days are long gone!
This takes me back to the days when Puka shell necklaces were all the rage. Sometimes, things, like these designs, are better left in the past.
Hey–I still have my Puka shell necklace tucked away. I don’t wear it but it ain’t going anywhere! (I love all things “shell”)
I wore all the puka shells, but I LOVE this coming back!!! I think these options are so chic, but I get it, not for everyone!
