It may not feel like it, but spring is here. The weather in NY has been pretty temperamental, with 2 or 3 gloomy days overshadowing every beautiful sunny day. You know what they say though, April showers bring May flowers and I’m hopeful that it will actually start to feel like spring soon.
It may be easy to forget that another season is upon us, but we are, in fact, in the full swing of spring. At this point, all of our favorite designers have released their new assortments and though we’ve covered a handful of new releases already, we thought it was time to do a more complete roundup of this season’s newest warm weather releases.
We’ve already looked at Prada’s new motif bags in depth, and collectively we all analyzed Balenciaga’s new Ghost bag as well as new arrivals from Givenchy and Louis Vuitton, but today we’re doing a deeper dive into the latest bags from our favorite luxury players. Many of the bags below were first seen on the spring 2020 runways and are big pushes this season. Overall, it seems there is a move towards more minimalist designs as many designers have begun to shy away from the logo craze. Other noticeable trends include new saddle flap bags from designers like Saint Laurent, Celine and Prada. Of course, Daniel Lee’s the Pouch got a makeover this season, and he also seems to have inspired other designers like Miu Miu to create plush, pillowy bags of their own. Take a look below and let us know what you think.
I am dangerously in love with that Fendi ?
The LV Vanity PM has been out of stock for awhile. Also, I’ve noticed that designers are maintaining the price of their bags, during this time of economic crisis, and LV even raised their prices.
Don’t sleep on Mulberry – they have some to-die-for greens in their Spring collection.
The Chloe Daria is my favorite.
None of these bags are really anything cutting edge, modern, or innovative. They’re inoffensive. Basic shapes and silhouettes. They should get decent sales, but will they in these uncertain economic times.
I’m not a fan of the chain on this Bottega Veneta pouch. The juxtaposition of the hard, oversized chain and the light, airy pouch is odd. I would need to try it in person, but it doesn’t look like it would hang right on the shoulder.
Agree with your overall assessment and about the BV chain. However, I really liked the sweater in the BV photo — would be happy to get that instead of the bag!
I love that Prada used such a small log on their bag. Also, I am really interested in the Givenchy bags this season. This morning was fantasizing about going purse shopping in an actual store! I can’t wait to do that again.
That Prada bag looks remarkably similar to a classic made-in-USA Coach bag from the 1970s.
For the love of handbags, gimme dat Fendi!
I agree! It caught my eye on the runway and I’m still experiencing heart eyes for it!
Loewe ballon bag us si cute!!!!! the leather is fantastic!!!!!!
