Yellow is decidedly one of the happiest colors to exist, it’s hard not to love this beautiful bright hue. As a pale blonde, I will admit that I grew up avoiding yellow and purposefully never wore this warm color for fear of looking even paler, but as I’ve gotten older I have slowly but surely began to incorporate more yellow into my wardrobe. Because I don’t wear a lot of yellow clothing, I typically rely on accessories to bring the cheery color into my wardrobe. Although I consider it to be a total year-round color, it does feel especially appropriate to wear in the summer sunshine.
As I searched for my top favorite yellow bags for this article (spoiler alert: there are so many good options!), it shocked me that I haven’t added one to my collection yet. I’ve been smitten with yellow bags since Blair Waldorf donned a mustard colored Fendi Peekaboo back in the day on Gossip Girl, but for some reason unknown to me I’ve never pulled the trigger and purchased one. I love a good statement bag, and a bright yellow color is an easy way to introduce a bolder handbag to your collection, especially if you’re just beginning to dabble in brightly colored bags.
Whether it be a soft buttery yellow, a mustard tone, or a richer deep yellow hue, this color is sure to complement anyone’s wardrobe. I personally wear a lot of floral prints and neutrals, so a bold bright yellow bag works well with nearly any ensemble in my closet. Not sure about a bright and bold yellow bag? I personally think you could also pull off a softer hue as a neutral bag if statement handbags aren’t your thing.
