Suddenly We’re Seeing More Wristlet Style Bags Than Ever

Snag one now for future adventures

While it’s easy to forget that spring has sprung, it is, in fact, here. Spring/Summer assortments are up online in full swing, and it’s easy to get lost in all of the options. Like many, I’ve had my eyes on springs biggest trends for a while, and one in particular shows no signs of slowing. That my friends is the wristlet style purse. First seen as a novelty detail on mostly contemporary designer’s bags this unique top handle style has since gone more mainstream. One of the most coveted brands of the moment adopted this style for spring/summer.

That’s right, Daniel Lee over at Bottega Veneta released the perfect wristlet style purse. It’s trendy silhouette and easy, relaxed feel is ultra-lustworthy, and the juxtopsition of its classic Intrecciato weave puts this bag high on my want list. If looking to tap into this trend you’re in luck, as there are plenty of options to pick from, and the nice thing about this trend? It’s available at virtually any price point, so go ahead and dream…future adventures await!

That Bottega Veneta Twist bag is everything though.

Love the look, but so impractical. If it was mini, I might even carry it!

how gorgeous! I’d love a post on how the purseblog team thinks COVID will change peoples’ personal purse preferences.

Ya, that’s a good idea!

i feel like I don’t quite know how to hold it… like, do I rest it on my wrist and hold my arm up a little bit so it just hangs there? Or do i just let my arm hang and grab onto the bag for dear life? I think I’m meant for a simple shoulder or crossbody strap. 🙂

I feel the same way. Awkward and not that practical. I will stick to small cross-body bags.

You are too funny! I haven’t ever carried a wrist bag, but I have no interest because they don’t make sense. I have grandkids and if I have to chase them down I don’t need the contents of a wrist bag flying all over. I’ll stick to shoulder and crossbody’s too! Thx for the laugh!

The Bottega Veneta bag looks too big to be functional. Who wants to fill up the bag then hold it by the wrist. The there’s the zipper at bottom which actually the opening. Dumbest bag ever.

My favorite is the Joon.

These wrist-carry bags are stylish and beautiful, but they’re too clunky for me. I prefer my wristlets to be plain, flat, and rectangular.

All are very pretty and most are quite affordable for a change. Personally, I’d still need a strap (preferably crossbody) to make any of these truly functional. Some of them seem they would work best for dressier occasions. The BV bag is gorgeous though I’d never buy it because it looks cumbersome.

Summer is cancelled due to covid19 since you guys didn’t get the memo. There is no fashion statements when your in your living room all the time !

Well, I was ready to carry a handbag down the driveway to the mailbox today!
I so miss my bags.
I’d choose that small raffia bag. I went crazy for small raffia bags while I was in Greece last summer. I have 6 of them now (cringe)
