A couple of weeks ago I was doing my routine nightly scroll through social media when I spotted this photo of uber-stylish songstress Dua Lipa. I’m low-key obsessed with Dua Lipa, both as an artist and as a person. While there are some looks she wears that I most definitely could not pull off, everything she wears is well put together and trendy but suits her well. Not to mention I’m incredibly envious of how well she rocks short hair. Real talk: I’ve been debating cutting my hair for over a year, yet I just can’t seem to pull the trigger! Anyway, I digress. When I saw Dua Lipa carrying a Jacquemus Le Baci Fringed Raffia Tote I immediately thought that I must have a fringe bag. Upon further investigation I’m not exactly sure if it fits my style. Fringe is a bit more bohemian and less edgy than I typically go for, but I’m still not entirely over it. Thoughts? Do you love it or would you leave it? If you’re here for it we’ve got a whole slew of fringe bags to get you started on this trend.

This trend breaks my heart.
Not every trend is for everyone. Breaking your heart over a trend sounds a bit extreme?
What do you mean? I’m curious.
This is just my personal view – I’m not big on fringe. It’s a trend that comes around every once in a while, and I have bags with a little bit of fringe on them, but they’re my El-Cheap-O bags that I wear when it’s not necessarily appropriate to wear one of my designer bags. As for me, I wouldn’t throw down a ton of money for a designer bag with fringe, but it is a fun thing to wear once in a while without a big investment.
Strangely I like them all except the Jacquemus bag. That just looks like only a scarecrow would carry it, and the price is scary, too!
Fringe bags is not my style. But I do like the Givenchy bag.
Leave it. Immediately. If you want fringe, buy a jacket and get a normal bag. Also get that fringe jacket from old navy so that when the trend is over in 2 months, you can donate it to goodwill and not feel bad about it.
I like the Bottega bag.
Leave it (except for the Miu Miu crystal). I have a beautiful, leather fringe mini bag. I spend my time worried if it’s going to get caught on something or a fringe will pop off.
Leave it. The fringe trend had its glory during the Roaring 20s – flapper dress era. It was born there, died there and should always remain there. LOL
IMO, fringe has always been a trend I could barely understand and hard to coordinate with outfits.
Oooo. Like the Balmain a lot.
I love the Bottega Veneta one
Not a fan of the fringe bag. The Fashion Gods keep trying to foist it, but to buy an investment fringe style piece is not what I would spend my money on. If I want to feel trendy, I would just buy a fringe style bag from a decent brand name like Coach on sale and probably more inclined to buy a vintage fringe and resell if I were to wade into the “fringe”.
They’re a bit impractical, if the fringes are very long, but I like them. The MiuMiu bucket is sooo beautiful|
You could try one of the new Mansur Gavriel fringe bags. They’ve done it in a minimal, chic way (obviously) that could work for more people.
