A little over a month ago, I made a wish out loud, in the form of a blog post: I wanted a dark green bag for fall. You’d think that wouldn’t be much of a problem, what with the whole internet and its desire to sell me things, but when I got down to looking, the options were kind of scant. Green leather in any shade isn’t something we see a whole lot unless it’s a trend, and the means of trend production had not yet caught up with my stray whims. Luckily, they have now.
As I was surveying new arrivals after the holiday, something jumped out at me: There are suddenly many dark green bags available that weren’t a couple weeks ago, and many of them are from indie contemporary labels. Those small brands might be a little better tapped in to the emerging desires of younger shoppers than their more established (which sometimes means “slower”) counterparts. One thing was totally clear from the super enthusiastic response to my original post, though, and it’s that my desire for a dark green bag isn’t isolated. Check out nearly a dozen brand new options we spotted below.
Just an FYI: the links for the Loulou (gorgeous) and Loeffler Randall (also gorgeous) bags didn’t work for me. Will try later from another computer but you might want to double check those. Love dark green bags, I have the Dior Ultra in that color and will be ordering the green Numero Deux from Polene when it’s back in stock.
Love the Polene Numero Uno in trio green as well.
ok, now they work for me…
That YSL is just so gorgeous! Swoons!
Checking purseblog at the beginning of a new season is so bad for me. So, so bad!
I know sis, I know omg
I got a dark green slouchy Antigona soon after reading Amanda’s initial post about dark green bags. It really is a great colour!!
I think I have to have that Loeffler Randall bag. It’s a *need*.
The YSL is STUNNING.
Not a Chloe fan, but the color of that bag is gorgeous.
Oooooo wonderful the one bag I would never sell or trade and will always keep is my very best loved favorite kelly 40cm in vert fonce so happy !!!!
I actually have always had a thing for (all shades of) green bags, so I am on board, but wasn’t dark green leather a trend, like, 3-4 years ago?
The ALC bag is super cute.
I am thrilled that hobo bags are slowly making a comeback!
Future glory is so cute and Elleme too. Really happy with the options piling up.
That number 10 is beautiful and the corners are covered in durable leather so not so much concern about smudged and worn-down suede. Nice!
Many nice options to chose from! I like a couple of them. Many designs are refreshing, too.
