Tory Burch has really hit her handbag stride, hasn’t she? It wasn’t long ago that we were criticizing the company for its liberal use of logos and preponderance of canvas totes, but now the line is full of beautiful leather bags at very reasonable prices. It’s no coincidence that the last time I went into one of Burch’s stores, it was so packed with customers that I could barely move around.
The Tory Burch Louisa Tote is just the latest in a string of handbag successes for the brand. It uses the same kind of flat chain handle as the Tory Burch Louis Crossbody Bag, but this design is even better because it will likely work for even more women.
This bag also has the same tassel and relatively subtle logo hardware as the other bags in the Louisa line, plus it adds something very important: extra space. It 16 inches wide, this tote would be easily large enough to use as a work bag, even if your job requires you to carry paperwork from time to time. Not only that, but the leather is soft and neutral and the hardware provides just enough of a glam touch. Ms. Burch has been on her game lately. Buy through Bloomingdale’s for $450.
a very nice bag indeed. good price for an all leather 16″ tote. a canvas fendi is $600+ and aren’t as large and are logo ridden to boot. would love to carry this louisa tote around. it would be a nice change of pace at the courthouse.
