It’s hard to grasp that it’s nearly fall, but with Labor Day just around the bend and our calendars already reading ‘September’, we’ve got to acknowledge the inevitable—fall is looming. Fall clothes are in stores and we’re proceeding with the idea that it’s almost fall, even if that seems nearly impossible. In NYC we’ve already begun to feel a slight breeze as nightfall comes quicker and the temps begin to get cooler at night. Soon enough it’ll be here, and now’s the time to start strategizing your fall wardrobe, and as you might expect, we think you should start with a bag.
Indie and contemporary brands have been leading the way when it comes to modern, innovative new designs, and to top it off, they are usually much more affordable than their luxury counterparts. It’s that combination of style and value that can’t be beat. Gone are the days of having to pay four figures to get a seriously chic, quality new bag. Check out two dozen of the very best contemporary bags with a bonus—they’re all under $700!
I would add also as contemporany brands with beautiful handbags in that price range for example: Decadent (Copehagen, Demark), KAAI (Anterp, Belgium), Polene (France), Lupo (Barcelona Spain) just to mention a couple of them to add. I think that your list is a bit USA-oriented and just a few of the European at equivalent quality and design.
Typically, I’m so steeped in tradition that most of the contemporary bags don’t interest me. However, surprisingly many of these, if not all, capture my interest!
They are really good, right?!
Yeah!
We heard you loud and clear!
I bought the Frame Les Second Vase bag in three colors – it’s a great bag and great value. The feel of the leather is very nice compared to most at this price point.
Great article, especially during this time. I’d also add Polene. I’m definitely thinking about a couple of their styles.
I LOVE Polene! Writing about another one of their bags this week or beginning of next!
MOSTLY classic, classie traditional designs. Elegance survives for a reason….?
