Olivia Harris Leather Zip Pocket Mini Crossbody Bag

Sigh. This bag was so close to getting everything right, but to me, there is one flaw that I can’t get over. It is so unfortunate though because this bag had all of the makings of a great handbag. Well, I need to let bygones, be bygones and move on. The Olivia Harris Leather Zip Pocket Mini Crossbody Bag is actually a really nice bag at a very reasonable price.

If you are anything like me, you are kind of wondering what the deal is with the oversized zip pocket that seems to be flapping in the breeze. I understand that the idea behind it is to offer a bit of flare and something different, but it looks a bit out of place. I imagine that if I saw this as I was walking down the street I would instantly stop the woman carrying and say, “oh, be careful, something might fall out of that pocket”. I get that it is for decoration, but again it is odd to me.

Yet, if you keep that pocket zipped up, I think this bag is actually really awesome. I love the purple color of the vintage washed leather. The adjustable crossbody strap clearly can be used as a onesided shoulder strap and that is the way I would wear this. It’s just a really cute bag. Plus, I love purple in the fall. It’s not a fall color that you would necessarily expect, but it is a great way to add a different kind of rich color to your look. Buy through Bloomingdale’s for $255.
