Ok, Marc by Marc Jacobs. You get a pass for last week’s PVC bag.

Every time Marc by Marc Jacobs does something to mildly piss me off, the brand almost immediately comes out with a bag or accessory that manages to make me forget all about my previous irritation. Last week, I hated on the PVC used in the Marc by Marc Jacobs Ozzie Square Lucy Tote, but now, all I can think about is how much I want the Marc by Marc Jacobs Party Foret Shoulder Bag in every color. It’s almost exactly like the very useful Marc Jacobs Single Bag, except $200 less expensive and with a more interesting quilted pattern.

I can’t say enough for the little shoulder bag as a closet necessity and all-around workhorse of a purse. Nothing goes from day to night better, and choosing a solid-colored option with an interesting texture makes the design even easier to use regularly. The bag also comes in black, but I’d pick one of the lighter ones for a little bit of variety. I have too many small black bags as it is, and yellow or ivory is a perfect way to show off the quilted details of this design. Buy through Bloomingdale’s for $358.

Love your writing, Amanda. And love the bag in sunflower yellow. Looking forward to the color explosion for the upcoming Spring collections. It looks like it’s going to be spectacular.

Looks a little small for everyday, but I do love the colors.

Oh, I knew Marc Jacobs would always bring himself back up. Jacobs never disappoints for long! Both of these are very nice.
