I have said it before and I will say it again, the holidays are my favorite time of year. This year I didn’t have a ton of time to truly soak in the holiday festivities (or do too much shopping) because my husband and I closed on our new home a week before Christmas. As if moving isn’t stressful enough, we also volunteered to host my family for Christmas dinner six days after moving in. In a way, this was a good thing because it forced us to unpack very quickly, but I am over the top with holidays and wanted to decorate the entire house for Christmas. After staying up late every night to unpack every single box, decorating the tree, and putting up all of our other festive decorations throughout the house, it was definitely worth all the stress and late evenings. I had never hosted before and will always look back on this Christmas as being extra special.
I made a wish list for the holidays this year but didn’t expect to find anything from the list under the tree, we did have a lot going on after all. Side note: I completely understand why moving is categorized as one of the most stressful periods in life. My husband and I agreed we would only do stocking stuffers this year, so you can imagine my shock when I opened a Chloé Aby bag from him on Christmas morning. I haven’t been that surprised in a long time! The bag is so stunning; I love it more than I imagined I would, which is saying a lot because I had high expectations for the Aby bag. My bag is Chloé’s “sepia brown” color, a rich reddish-brown hue, which looks beautiful with the bag’s mixed metal hardware.

Chloé Aby Medium Day Shoulder Bag ($2,390)
I’ve always wanted a Dior Flight bag, and I found one at my local resale shop. I was so excited because it was all leather as opposed to the canvas. I took it to my local shoe repair shop. He touched up the edges, fixed the strap, and put some leather protectant on it. I get so many compliments. It’s not brand new, but It was my gift from me to me!

I really wanted some bags, so I went on a shopping spree I got a saint laurent sac de jour large (I know it’s not new, but new for me) saved a ton on it…had some damages on the handle, but took it to my local leather cobbler and for 50dls got it fixed , and I wish we saw more reviews on the balmain buzz 30 bag. I saw it at NM, loved it and bought it. But I can’t seem to find any reviews on it. 🙁
Yes! Mlouye helix bag in grey- it’s so cool. For once my husband actually thought a bag on my list was interesting! I’ve worn it out a couple times already and people stare at it. Thanks PB for introducing me to the brand! It is clearly very very well made, the leather is luxe, the stitching and construction are perfection, and it is really unique.
