2025 has been one of the most tumultuous years the luxury fashion world has experienced since the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Demand for luxury goods in the primary market continues to decline, with the industry feeling the heat of exorbitant price increases and economic uncertainty.
The great luxury slowdown aside, major changes at several luxury brands, along with the ever-changing trend cycle, signal a significant inflection point in the fashion industry. Still, despite the industry’s overall bleak outlook, some brands continue to soar.
Lyst’s Q3 Report Reveals Shifting Consumer Preferences
Lyst has just released its quarterly report for Q3 2025, and in a season of change, it offers a concrete yet unsurprising look at consumers’ outlooks towards the most popular luxury brands. The report compiles worldwide data from online shopping sales, Google searches, social media callouts, and more to offer an all-encompassing, bias-free look at what’s trending.
It’s all in the data, and this season, the numbers indicate shifting tides and brand uncertainty amid a period of transition, leaving room for those who continue to do what they do best to shine.

This season, Saint Laurent has proven its power, climbing two spots on the Lyst Index, stealing the number one slot from Miu Miu for the first time ever.
Anthony Vaccarello has continued to develop Saint Laurent’s distinct DNA, honing in on the brand’s modern aesthetic without sacrificing its heritage house codes. While other brands navigate changing times, Saint Laurent has stayed true to its core consumer—offering a sleek sensibility and chic sex appeal—and that has paid off.
Vaccarello knows who the Saint Laurent woman (and man) is, and he designs for them, which led to Saint Laurent seeing double-digit growth in ready-to-wear and shoes for Q3, parent company Kering reported. The quarterly revenue report also noted that the brand’s refresh in leather goods is beginning to pay off.
Trending Products Define the Season’s Style
Other brand call-outs included Miu Miu, which holds a strong number two position after losing its winning spot to Saint Laurent, and Coach, which remains strong at number five but rose 29% this quarter. Meanwhile, The Row climbed two places, driven by a 28% increase in demand.

When it came to products, the ruched loafer trend ruled the top ten, with hit picks from Saint Laurent and The Row staking their claim.
As for the bags? The Coach Empire Carryall continues to make waves amongst the fashion set, driven mainly by a demand from Gen Z. The Savette Slim Symmetry Pochette, with its on-trend slim east/west body and relatively affordable price tag, also made the Lyst.

I do love Saint Laurent, especially the RTW.
Love YSL bags. People criticize that the designs are boring with just the YSL logo on top of anything. But the good thing is that a bag from 10, 5 years ago from YSL still looks current because of their classic design, shape, and practicality.
