In My Bag | 1.25.16

Sometimes I forget how much I love bags. I love the purpose a bag serves; not only to carry everything you need, but also to hide your smaller possessions from the outside world. I’m intrigued by what people carry in their bags and I know many of you are as well, which is why our What’s In His/Her Bag posts are a reader favorite.

My own bag shocks me sometimes. I don’t have a perfectly curated bag; I have a bag that is being used by a normal human, and sometimes I open it and find countless receipts and random items.

While many other things have come and gone inside of my bag over the past few weeks, there have been 3 products I’ve continued to use. Here’s a look at each and a bit of info on why I love them so much!

La Prairie Anti-Aging Eye & Lip Perfection à Porter
$160 via Nordstrom

La Prairie is one of my favorite beauty brands, and this is my second eye and lip pot I’m on. I carry this in my bag for a variety of reasons: first, the product is lovely, and second, there’s a mirror included and I like to look at a mirror versus instead of trying to use my phone’s front-facing camera. There is one portion that provides eye cream-gel and the other section is a protective lip balm. Both are designed to hydrate, and I like the lip balm best, mostly because I can feel the results of the product right as I apply it.

Avène Eau Thermale
$18.50 via Amazon

There are a few portable mineral water mists that people like, but I got a three-pack of this travel size and really like it. The only ingredient listed is water and nitrogen, so don’t think you’re getting much more, but a fine mist is a great refresher when your skin gets dry during the cold winter months, when you’re traveling, when you’re getting ready for bed or in warm weather when you need a refresh.

GoGo SqueeZ Applesauce on the Go Apple Peach
$35 via Amazon

I’m not entirely sure if this is a kids snack, but it doesn’t really matter, because it packs easily and I love it. There are a few different flavors, but I prefer the Apple Peach option. These squeeze packs are great snacks and do not need to be refrigerated. I end up stuck in traffic or running behind when I’m out and having one of these with me is great. GoGo SqueeZ packs are organic, 100% fruit, gluten, nut and dairy free, and so good.

Love your Antigona! Not sure about the squeezable Apple sauce LOL!

Haha, like I said, it’s totally random!

Those apple sauce packets are awesome when half-frozen! It’s like a little slushie.

Megs Mahoney Dusil

Gonna have to try that!

My son loves the apple peach. I always have a ton of receipts too.

It’s the best flavor I think!

I would not put a squeeze pouch of applesauce in my handbag. I don’t care if it’s a canvas sack or an Hermes.
I still love the color of your Antigona. So feminine and pretty.

Because it could pop and spill all over? And thanks! It’s a beautiful bag 🙂

FashionableLena

Yes. I put my snacks in a ziplock bag when my kids were smaller. Nothing worse than cleaning out crumbs from your bag!

Megs Mahoney Dusil

Totally – I just toss it in there and cross my fingers! hah

I always have something to eat in my bag. I travel for work – literally, it’s my job to ride the rails – and you can never know what happens. It’s better to be safe than sorry so I have either nuts, protein bars, fruit or one of those squeezy fruit snacks with me.
There’s also always hand cream (usually L’Occitane Shea Butter or Body Shop Hemp), a Travalo or a mini perfume, ginger candy (to prevent motion sickness), Dr. Hauschka pressed powder, foldable hairbrush and an unnecessarily huge amount of lip products. I just counted, and I have 2 tinted lip balms, 2 glosses, 3 liners and 2 lipsticks. Oh, and a lip tint. And there’s probably more lurking somewhere…

Yep, I try to always have a snack and I usually have a bottle of water too. I always learned the lesson the hard way so I now have it with me all the time! Your bag sounds very similar to mine 🙂

My granddaughter loved those squeezable apple sauce containers when she was three, but they are not enough to keep her satisfied and she’s six now. I find the granola bar double pack does the trick for me or even a small packet of Tic Tacs.

I’m gonna have to try the mineral mist. Love your Antigona!
