ADORE the bamboo handles and the silver hardware is pretty.
However…on a petty note, I have a phobia of worms and the ribbed GG letters are making me think of little grubs twisted into shapes 🙁
My thoughts exactly, CL & Raphaela, the look of the letters made me, instinctively, back away from my screen. The thought of touching them makes me feel sick in my stomach.
No offense to worms which serve an important role in the ecosystem such as the decomposition of organic matter and soil fertilisation, I also feel kinda squeamish by this GG logo. I get that it’s supposed to be exquisite but I just don’t see it that way.

When it comes to Gucci, I tend to gravitate towards its Sylvie collection. I don’t dig its Marmont line, somehow. Unlike the Bamboo Frame Print Top Handle and small Bamboo Shoulder bag which I find stunning, the bamboo handle on the small 2.0 appears to be out of place with the quilted leather and in this particular style.
It tries so hard to be Chanel… but it fails miserably.
I like the little square one. It’s cute, but I’m not willing to drop $2400 on one.
I like all of them, but my favorite is the small one. I like the contrast of the bamboo handle, quilted leather, white piping and hardware. The uniqueness of this style appeals to me. Gucci has created other versions of this boxy style handbag; they stand on their own without trying to copy other high end brands.

To me, the GG’s look “misplaced” on the top and middle bags. Sort of ill fitting.
