In journalism school, my favorite professor once told me that reviewing something you love is much more difficult than reviewing something you hate, which means I’ve got my work cut out for me when it comes to Fendi’s Spring 2015 bags. After scoping out the dozens (literally) of bags and small leather goods that models toted down the brand’s runway, I’ve become convinced that Karl Lagerfeld loves me and wants me to be happy. The bags are that beautiful.
Fendi’s made a habit in recent seasons of pushing the fashion conversation forward when it comes to construction and textiles, and this collection does that while maintaining a pale, feminine, decidedly spring-like aesthetic. The collection largely avoids launching entirely new bags; instead, Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi went about reimagining and embellishing fan favorites like the Peekaboo, Baguette, 3Jours and By The Way.
The brand’s huge successful small accessories were also all over the place, including Bag Bugs in new colors and a new, miniaturized Karlito, ripe for wait lists. Many of the bags were also adorned with teeny-tiny versions of other Fendi bags; after all, who doesn’t want to hang a little Baguette or Peekaboo on her 3Jours? Check out all the bags (and the bags on bags) below.

What an amazing collection. Fendi proves, again and again to be ahead of the curve. The bags are clearly not for mass consumption… Just the super rich who can afford such lovely, artisanal trinkets. Love, love, LOVE the bag bugs and the mini baggeuttes. And love the sequined oversized Peakaboo. And the croc tails from the By The Way bags, YUM!
Fendi is my spirit animal.
my ;
The gray mini-Peekaboo with embossed leather is gorgeous. If I saw that bag in the regular size, I would have a hard time resisting…
Fendi is so innovative!! I don’t know why people like Chanel and Hermes so much, when have we seen true innovation from them? Its the same quilted bags from Chanel and the same look from Hermes. Fendi truly pushes itself and is so creative, I LOVE LOVE the bags! Am so getting a Fendi next time. Dior is innovative too with styles and colors, but I find Fendi bags the most creative, gorgeous, and the brand truly pushes the envelope and is not afraid of taking risks.
Fendi leads the pack once again. I love the bugs and the miniaturized Karlito…with that said, I am terribly conflicted about fur for fashion. I swore off fur years ago because I deplore animal cruelty, but it is so in, and the bugs, the bugs! Grrrrrr…..
I love the itsy bag-shaped charms, although I’m not a fan of the super embellished bags.
I agree.
The same with me. I dislike the bags with too much details.
The collection is great , although.
i actually adore this entire collection!
OMG – the way they put the runway bags together is pure art – really genius. Love this blog.
The Mini Peekaboos are to die for!
Can’t agree with you more! I loved the collection! I did miss my beloved 2Jours. But maybe that bag is too boring for a runway show?
I agree… I adore the 2jours. I think it is far more aesthetically pleasing than the Trois jours… Never to boring for the défilé. It will make its return, you shall see….
SVF is a genius… I would also love a revival of the Spy bag for a whole new generation.
Can’t wait for these!
I can have it all . Omg love beauty art.
Sublime
Hm, I am honestly not dying over it – I saw a couple of nice bags but the rest was nothing to have to have.
only 6 months to fortify thy wallet ???? Not enough ….
I absolutely need the mini blue baguette to hang next to Anya Hindmarch’s ” I shot JR”.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Cute as it is…
Call the police! Crazy Crafting people got ahold of the new Fendi collection and glue-gunned a bunch of cutesy feathers, beads, bows and doo-dads all over their classic handbags!
Meh.
these are the most beautiful bags i’ve seen since fashion month began!
