Fashion Week Handbags: Fendi Fall 2012

After a lineup last season that left something to be desired, Fendi Fall 2012 extends the brand’s recent history of stellar accessories collections. Just look at that bag up there, you guys. Just look at it. I don’t have to explain why that’s an awesome bag. If you love accessories, then you already know it instinctively.

With a few exceptions (white crocodile trimmed in black and white fur, for one), what struck me the most about this collection is how wearable and versatile it is, despite its modernity. The line consists mostly of medium-sized totes with a thin bar of metal at the front closure to hold a small FENDI stamp, and the final product can be produced for seasons to come in a nearly endless combination of colors and textures to hit a variety of price points. Very nicely done, Fendi.

Hate to have say this but the Fendi Fall 2012 Handbags are almost as off as the clothes in the Fall Collection were. Love Fendi and hate to see them looking like this

Don’t like them. I think next fall season “they” (the designers: Prada, Marc Jacobs, Gucci and now Fendi) think we are all old ladies. no way.

#4 is my favorite. I actually like the luggage tag in this case, since it’s not hanging awkwardly right in the middle of the bag.

I can see that Fendi did note let us down. I tend to go for the Fendi classic bags from years ago, but these big totes are lovely.

these are absolutely exquisite… like silvia said a couple years ago. ‘fendi is not for everyone. they have their very intellectual costumers that they cater too’
overall, this new collection is incredible and amazing. karl lagerfeld and the fendi team are truly years ahead. what is funny, in a couple of seasons this will be all the rage!
