Well, I love to hear about up-and-coming designers who may still be flying under the fashionista radar… otherwise: Hermes (for dreaming) and MJ/BV/YSL (for wearing). Thanks for asking!

mellee

Chanel. Thanks!

D

Miu Miu

CC

Balenciaga

Linda

49 Square Miles, still highly underrated! Hayden Harnett doesn’t seem to get featured much, would love to see more about their bags.

19yearslater

I always love Marc Jacobs.

AA

Marc Jacobs!

Mad abt bag

Chanel..Dior…LV in order

Jenn

I enjoy reading about the bags that aren’t available in local stores, but practically speaking, the most useful reviews (i.e., the ones I read and reread) are those for bags that I can actually buy in person and carry on a regular basis, namely:

Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, Burberry, Chloe, and (my new fav) Valentino

Thanks for asking!

Graciella

Rick Owens – he makes some very avant garde minimalist bags that are edgy and fun

F.

Miu Miu, Miu Miu, Miu Miu, and mmm, Miu Miu! Loveee it!

Karen

I enjoy drooling over bags that I can aspire to but will probably never own — Hermes, YSL, Chanel, BV. One designer I like in this price range that I don’t think you’ve covered is De Couture. I also love seeing beautiful bags in high quality leathers that I *can* purchase here and there — e.g., Rebecca Minkoff, Botkier, and Linea Pelle. I would particularly like to see greater coverage of Olivia Harris. I would also appreciate any lines in this price range (~$400 to $800) you can introduce us to that are new to the scene. Thanks!

Nicole

I love reading about Chanel, Hermes, YSL, Miu Miu, Lanvin & Balenciaga, but I agree with Leah and would appreciate reviews featuring new or lesser known designers.

jayne

Yes, I think more attention should go to B.Makowsky, Kathy van Zeeland and Tignaello. But I have to admit, Louis Vuitton, Hermes and Chanel are my dream bags. And I adore the new Michael Kors uptown astor tote with the double handles and the chain shoulder strap.

Carolyn

I love Stella McCartney but her bags are pricey. I do not wear leather and are always looking for bags without any animals products. I would love to see Matt & Nat features more on PB Savvy

Nicole

What about Tod´s handbags? I would also appreciate more coverages from Miu Miu, Chanel and Chloé.

Sarah

Ferragamo, Prada, Chanel, BV, Nancy Gonzalez

Pigeu

LV, I don’t see it often on the Blog.

Michael St. James
Mochababe73

Definitely Christian Dior. They make beautiful bags that don’t get alot of press. I would also like to see more Lana Marks.

supriapatel

you focus on bottega and hermes too much and not enough on lv, burberry, fendi, gucci…goyard would be nice too!

Cat

Yes, yes, Goyard!

CECE

I know everyone is screaming luxe but I want to know about luxe for less! No one wants to hear about Coach but lets get back to some more affordable lines! Maybe some more Minkoff and Gryson! I was also just in Dallas at the North park Henri Bendel! Their new bag lines are so sooo fun!

Amanda Mull

Have you checked out PurseBlog Savvy? The link is at the top of the page – all the bags featured are less than $1000, we talk a lot about RM on that blog.

Pablo

Alexander McQueen…..he’s accessories are GENIOUS !!!!….and for a while his whole bag range has developped a huge following…. i see a lot of cool girls wearing them…..but not a lot of coverage…..
thanks for asking……
love the blog !

Grace

Chanel.. Thanks! 🙂

Sherr

I would love to see more of Balenciaga (especially when you get your dream bag Meg!). Also, would read (and drool over) anything Hermes. And Prada, if they ever get more creative. And Marni, since they have really been impressive lately. And Fendi…Peekaboos are so hot that I can’t wait to see what they come up with next. sorry for the long list! 🙂

AJH

Jil Sander – clean minimal yet stylish

Jane

I would like to see more up and coming artists. As well as more price range variance from $150 to all the way up to the heavens because it is always fun to dream. I love Katherine Kwei. I would also like to see more small leather goods. I liked when you had put up Plia. I want to be able to pull out great leather goods from inside my handbag. I think it is important to keep your inside bag just as good looking as the outside if possible. It would be fun to see more educational stories what bags are made in America versus China or Italy. I am obsessed right now with buying only American made goods. Wow, sorry that is a tall order.

Kimberley

Alexander Wang, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Mimco, Lanvin, Proenza Schouler, Chloe, Stella M and Lanvin please.

Jacqueline Suzanne

padipaws

i love this post. keep going!

Nicole

I would also like to read more about Celine bags…

Dayzley

Prada and Goyard!

Sarah

Chanel of course, but it would be nice to feature some more new designers like the purse that SJP is wearing here http://outfitidentifier.com/?p=22348

Nyzinga

Nottinghill! I love those bags and aspire to own one, but it appears they can only be purchased in England. TPB has featured their Westbourne bag on occasion, and I would love to see more, read more about them!

Stacy

PRADA – although Prada makes some bags that are questionable when it comes to asthetics, I still love this line the most. I would also like see bags by Nancy Gonzalez – talk about luxe material.

Stacy

Oh Yes, and one other designer… CARLOS FALCHI – How could I forget!! He has some gorgeous stuff out there.

Preloved Posh

Chanel and hopefully Birkin! haha *finger crossed*

burberry
haven’t seen any prada in a few

Junqi

Lanvin!!! Although its signature is still the chic Parisienne cocktail dress…but Alber Elbaz has been giving out conspicuous hangbags which I am totally falling love with…especially for the 2009 Fall/Winter RTW…

may

chanel for me!

Dorian Gray

I know you dislike it but I love Versace! The new SS2010 bag seems so colorfur and fun!

Helen

More environmentally/animal friendly (but still well made and stylish ala Stella McCartney) purses for those of us who want alternatives.

Des

I’d love to see more chanel, especially if there are limited edition ones or ones with unique colors!

Loquita

Thanks for asking this question! I would love see to the following:
1) An increased focus on bags from up and coming designers at *all* price ranges (I am thinking of designers like Bryna Nicole, Helena de Natalio, and Rachel Nasvik, for example);
2) Regular “guest reviews” written by PFers themselves, for example, guest commentaries on handbag lines that are popular in the country or region where they live. This would be wonderful because it would literally give us more of a global sense of what’s out there – I realize that there are many wonderful US and European-based designers, but there are arguably just as many in other areas of the world that deserve our attention as well.
3) Regular “guest reviews” written by PFers on a given category of bags that many of us use on a daily basis, i.e., baby bags, work bags, travel bags, etc. Among us there is a wealth of information about what works and what doesn’t, and it would be nice to see that resource organized in one space. For example, a PFer could provide a detailed comparison of a small group of handbags in a given category (say, 3-4 from diff. price points) that they have “test-driven.” Something like this done once or twice a month or so would be extremely helpful.

Hope this helps! 🙂

Loquita

I realize that the parts of my post above don’t appear answer you original question directly, but I truly think that parts #2-#3 or my answer will help us arrive at more of what I request in my first point above. Thanks!

Anna Cooperberg Gzz.

GOYARD absolutely (I’ll write! hehe) and Costume National… well, their bags used to be cool and funky so if they resurface I’d love to see them 😉 Also, I love seeing really strange handbags, even though the probability that I or many other people would carry it is small.

An4

I think you’re doing a great job here, and there are so many designers and bags, so it’s not easy to cover them all. I like diversity and I always look forward to reading your reviews, so basically all I’d like is more reviews. I learned a lot here.
If you have the time maybe you could check out Karen Ly, I have one of their handbags and I like it, I get lots of compliments when I carry it. Don’t let the prices online scare you, bags can be purchased from authorized resellers online for a much smaller price.

pursemonkey

I would love to see more Marc Jacobs, specifically his more “wearable” designs. It seems that the bags featured are often the more “out there” designs rather than the ones the average person would choose to carry. I appreciate his adventurous, irreverent side but I’m personally drawn to his more classic, less flashy styles.

Jane

I wish when you have giveaways you displayed the winner on the blog so we can see who wins. I feel like we all have to hunt for the result to find out the winner.

longchamp

Goyard, Lanvin

chloehandbags

Chloe (of course!), Alexander McQueen, Celine (IF they’re doing anything decent for A/W ’10), Roberto Cavalli, Maison Martin Margiela, Emanuel Ungaro, Lanvin, Pucci and anyone else who’s doing anything really interesting (especially clutches and messengers/long strapped hobos). 🙂

Sara

Gryson, Rebecca Minkoff, Linea Pelle

May Luong

DvF & Alexander McQueen

Lisa

MiuMiu, Hermes, Bree and Coach
