A couple years ago, we attended our first Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic in NYC, and it was one of those experiences you don’t forget. This year, Vlad headed back to NYC to shoot the event again (I had serious FOMO back in Florida), and from what he shared and the photos I saw, it was another one of those pinch-me-is-this-real kinds of days.
While we love sharing the bags people carry, it’s more fun to see the ensembles put together for an event like this. Everyone goes all out, wearing outfits you’d rarely see elsewhere, including massive hats, dapper suits and sundresses in soft shades that you rarely see as part of NYC’s style landscape. Which celebrities do you like?
Celebrities aren’t all that fashionable that’s why they have stylists. Street style and fashionable non celebs are more creative and inspiring.
For me it’s more of which ones I’m sick of seeing. Any Kardashian / reality star makes my eyes roll back in my head.
I’d prefer seeing real people (aspirational real people are fine!) styling their bags.
I’d love to see more topics on staffers like the one you did for Lucky Mag or something similar. A working group of fashion savvy professionals is much more fun and inspiring than the usual celebrities. Plus more in depth interviews / favorite things list are fun too. Or maybe a peek inside someone’s handbag collection? I love it all! Thank you Purse Blog. 😉

Looks great! And a breath of fresh air. The only thing – did you notice the woman with the Micro Peekaboo? And her man next to her, with his hands full of stuff; 2 phones, papers etc. Made me chuckle a little. 😀 Why on earth does anyone carry a bag like that when it’s no use..?

Ha, ya that bag legit fits so little. I know with what I need to carry I could never get away with that bag, but guess she really liked it!
Looks like she’s carrying a coin purse as a crossbody. :’D A good way to counter the size of the bag would be to wear something with big pockets. Like, HUGE. Army combat pants anyone?
