Jimmy Choo Candy Acrylic Clutches

Jimmy Choo Candy Acrylic Clutches

Hey, Jimmy Choo, the 80s called, they want their Jimmy Choo Candy Acrylic Clutches back. Except I don’t think I can stand to let them go…

We all know at this point that 80s fashion and neon colors are, like, totally a thing. Not everyone’s a fan, of course, but most people can at least agree that the trend is relentlessly silly and fun. In the relentlessly self-important fashion industry, it feels like a breath of fresh (if slightly retro) air.

These neon plastic clutches look like they could be particularly lucky vintage finds, but you don’t have to pour over the racks of stale-smelling old clothes to find them – bonus! Because, really, old clothes are stinky. The sorts of places you buy Jimmy Choo? Not stinky. Not only that, but the clutches themselves are somewhat reasonably priced, something I rarely have the pleasure of saying on this blog. Buy through Net-a-Porter for $495.

I was a child of the 80-90s so I definitely wore my fair share of color. It was then that I developed my love of color. With that being said, while I love the clutches, it’s not economically feasible to spend so much money on something so trendy. And acrylic.

They look a bit like a trapper-keeper. Ya know, those things we all kept our precious school folders and notebooks, and would doodle our crush’s name all over? But that aside, I am a huge fan of the bright colors!

$500 for a plastic clutch is reasonable? Does everyone in the world have more disposable income than me?

Mishelle

Their SWAGGTASTIC! we here at http://www.swaggtalk100.net love em!

Kelly, you hit the nail on the head. I knew they reminded me of school somehow. That being said, I really like the shape. Maybe if it were blue . . .

Michael St. James

Wow…those are some bright clutches!

Yes agreed there is something very loevly about the shape, but I think it’s the color WITH that shape that screams trapper-keeper (only it’s a $500 trapper keeper!) I also agree perhaps in a blue

Karin bag4bag

I love them !!! But I don’t think I could actually wear them with anything I own !

kate

Jimmy Choo is fond of travel soap conainers lol

Joan

I think they’re cute to use when you’re feeling funky – I like the pink! But yeah 500 – way too much.

Love the colors but can’t justify the price

Mishelle

I agree with you, just because we have the extra cash does’nt mean we should spend ur on such trivial offerings…love the colors though
