When it comes to Chanel, devotees of the brand are lucky—new bags hit the site more often than that of other designers. Not all brands do pre-collections, and most of the ones that do don’t offer as large of a selection as Chanel does, and they often don’t present them with as much fanfare either. The pre-collection line is now in stores and these bags have arrived to fill the gap until the runway collection hits boutiques in September.
For the most part, pre-collection bags are pretty consumer friendly in the sense that they’re a bit more wearable than the main collection bags which are more collectors items. That shearling bag looks like old carpet. The green bag is really pretty even though green is my least favorite color. I would have to say that bags 3 and six are my favorites.
A $6000 satin bag is ridiculous. Satin is for prom/bridesmaid’s dresses and Dyeables shoes. Cheap and not very durable. It will look ratty in no time. For a couple hundred more dollars, you can get a leather Classic Flap. For a few hundred dollars LESS, you can get a medium Flap.

I am a Chanel super fan so not liking one of their bags is super rare. I find #8 truly horrid. It looks like an old lady pleather handbag. It has zero redeeming features apart from the Chanel logo.
I believe that Chanel stocks are private, but wonder if they have taken a tumble in the past few years? These new collections can’t be helping due to their limited appeal, overpriced options, and 5 year limited warranty on bags purchased in boutiques. With all of this said it’s becoming easier to shop at other fashion houses that take better care of their clientele. For me, spending $5K on a bag is a lot and I naturally expect both quality and longevity, but currently Chanel lacks both.
Love ,love the green camera bag, but those prices!!! I like the red and burgundy flaps too, but again with the pricing.
