It’s that time of year again, when celebrities make the grand voyage to New Jersey to attend the Veuve Cliquot Polo Classic and pretend they like or understand polo. I love the pageantry of polo: the food, the champagne, the horses, the outfits, the stomping of the divots and, of course, the handbags. Today, we have all that and more in our bi-weekly look at what celebrities are carrying.
(P.S. If you haven’t seen Vlad’s pics from last year’s Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic, you should definitely take a look–they’re phenomenal, if we do say so ourselves.)
Daria Strokous
Bulgari Serpenti Shoulder Bag
Here’s Russian model/actress Daria Strokous, wearing her finest whites at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic and carrying a red Bulgari Serpenti, which seems most appropriate.
EJ Johnson
Chanel Alligator Classic Flap Bag
We’ve only seen a little bit of it, but I suspect EJ Johnson probably has a pretty spectacular designer handbag collection. Here he is at NAMI’s Stigma Free Lunch at The District Restaurant in LA, carrying a red alligator Chanel Flap.
Emma Roberts
M2Malletier Amor Fati Bag
Shop M2Malletier via Net-a-Porter
Emma Roberts took a tiny, leopard-print M2Malletier bag to the Polo Classic. Animal print is not something you see in quantity at a polo match, but I like her chutzpah.
Gigi Hadid
Max Mara Whitney Bag
$1,150 via Saks
Here’s Gigi Hadid, leaving a little get-together at pal Taylor Swift’s apartment in NYC, carrying the Max Mara-Whitney Museum collab bag. The Max Mara Whitney has been getting a fair bit of traction with celebs in recent weeks. We saw Sarah Jessica Parker carrying this bag last month.
Khloé Kardashian
Chanel Graffiti Backpack
Khloé Kardashian was spotted arriving at a hotel in NYC with one of her favorite bags, the Chanel Graffiti Backpack. Khloé has owned and loved this Chanel style ever since it was introduced last year. This may, in fact, be the same backpack we first saw Khloé with back in 2014. The graphics and graffiti placement are all the same, but it does seem to have faded a bit.
Kylie Jenner
Givenchy Antigona Bag
Shop Givenchy via Saks
I enjoy this pic of Kylie Jenner for so many reasons. First off, she’s clearly very aware that she’s being photographed, and she can be certain that she looks good, because she just left Anastasia Salon in Beverly Hills with her girlfriend Pia Mia, but she’s probably still using the front-facing camera on her phone just to triple-certify that she does, in fact, look amazing.
Nadine Leopold
Chanel Wallet on Chain Bag
Here’s Austrian model Nadine Leopold, also at the Polo Classic, carrying a teensy Chanel Wallet bag. That lace dress looks like it goes on forever, and I love it.
Usher
Goyard Boeing Duffel Bag
HOLD THE PHONES. That’s right, this celeb handbag round-up features not one, but TWO celeb gentlemen with designer handbags! Here’s Usher, “out and about” in NYC with an extremely practical Goyard Boeing Duffel Bag.

That chanel alligator bag…. Maybe when I win the lottery, for now I admire from afar.
Love EJ’s red Chanel however his outfit looks Kris Jenner/MC Hammer inspired. Not his best look.
EJ lost SO much weight, wow!
Usher,.. I … am.. speechless..

I have always disliked the Kardashian family and everything that they represent. I fully respect Bruce’s decision to become Caitlyn and I applaud him for his courage to represent those without such a large platform. However, once the Diane Sawyer interview was over….it seems the Kardashian/Jenner machine started working on a new circus within this family. Between the Vanity Fair cover and an upcoming reality show, I just feel overwhelmed with this family that seems like they will whore themselves at any time for any reason.
I would love nothing more than for them all to go away. I won’t watch the ESPY awards and I’m done clicking on any People Mag stories about them. I’ve watched the show but I only last about 5 minutes.
I’m done with this family. Don’t ask me why I’m posting. Just stating my business and exiting.
Sorry for the rant. The Kylie picture got me going.
Agreed!
Kylie looks dreadful here
