Ok, Purseblog readers – impromptu pop quiz! We have a mammoth-sized mystery bag on our hands. Here’s Jessica Chastain, goading us with her fabulous designer find of unknown origin. The handles remind us of Givenchy. The silhouette reminds us of Dolce & Gabbana. The little studs are a little McQueen. It’s basically large enough to be an airplane carry-on. So what is it?! Is it something we’ve simply overlooked, or is Jessica Chastain getting amazing designer prototypes well before they hit stores? (Sounds feasible!)
Beyond the bag, Ms. Chastain looks extra sleek in those patent leather riding boots, puffy jacket, black stripes, and specs, does she not? I really just have to twiddle my thumbs now and to wait for you guys to fill in all the details on this one. I think the word you’re looking for is iteration.
I think FashionableLena means different “alterations”, as in the bag comes in different patterns/colors. Iteration refers to repeated use/speech of something.
This doesn’t need to turn into an English lesson but the correct word is iteration. Not only is it used when referring to speech but the general definition of an iteration is repeating a process (e.g. repeating the design in different materials, patters, etc.). Alterations are changing measurements of a garment or handbag. So in fact, she is looking for the word iteration.
Hmmm…the last time that I used the word iteration was in college when I took Calculus I, II, and III.
