Well, this is a first! As you probably know, Birkenstocks have experienced a strong resurgence in popularity in the last year, and I don’t need to educate anyone here on the prominence of Celine handbags, but it is most unusual to see Birkenstocks and Celine bags paired together! Here’s Mena Suvari, doing exactly that while leaving a nail salon in LA. She’s carrying a black Celine Trapeze Bag and wearing black Birkenstock Mayari Sandals. Celine bags are available at Celine boutiques, natch, but her Birks can be found for a mere $90 at Zappos.com.
Strangely enough, I think the bag and the Birks work just fine together. (Ignore that everything in between in just gym clothes, and try to imagine Mena in a more everyday, actress casual outfit. OR superimpose whatever you think Reese Witherspoon might wear to tie everything together.)
