Man, Kylie Jenner is really growing a great handbag collection. It all started when I fell hard for her Givenchy Antigona, and I shamelessly follow Kylie on Instagram (along with 21 million others) to peek into her life.
Unlike many of her other followers, I mostly just peruse to see the handbags she adds to her collection. Kylie is young and incredibly wealthy, which gives her lots of opportunity to pick up designer bags and show them off. Her handbag style is on point, and her recent acquisition is the Balenciaga Bicolor Canvas Classic City in green.
Clearly Kylie is onto something, as her version of this Balenciaga bag sold out immediately when it hit Net-A-Porter and doesn’t seem to even be on the Balenciaga website. I did track it down on Barneys, however, and am sure it will quickly sell out there, too.
This bag is different, but, simply put, it’s cool. I’m so accustomed to the leather version of the City bags, but this version features black and green mesh, styled with black rubberized leather and yellow rubber trim. It’s different and not for everyone, but works well as a stand-out piece for the young and the young at heart. Buy via Barneys for $1,715.

Terrible color combo. It looks like they borrowed the fabric of the practice jerseys of the Oakland A’s to construct this monstrosity.
I love my Bals, and would like more, but not this one, eesh.
I like the combination of the different textures. However, in the back of my mind, I’m thinking $1715 for mesh, rubber, and rubberized leather. Even for a high end designer, the answer would still be no.

I don’t think it’s a monstrosity at all. I LOVE it, nearly fainted when I saw it on the shelves a few weeks ago, and bought it last night. Plus it will be on sale soon and my SA said she’ll refund me the extra cash when it does. It’s very sporty and cool and I can’t stop staring at it! I’m hoping the rubberized leather holds up. I think this is a really cool twist on their City Bag, which are getting ubiquitous.
