Does this signal the beginning of a major shift in celeb handbag-carrying proclivities? Kate Bosworth is the first non-fashion celebrity we’ve spotted with a Proenza Schouler PS13 Satchel on her arm. As you’ll remember, the PS13 was shrouded in mystery until last month, when pics were finally unveiled. The bag, a part of Proenza Schouler’s Resort 2013 collection, just became available for sale this week – you can get your hands on one for $2495 at Net-A-Porter.

That light grey PS13 really pops with the lining of her shirt. But how do you think the PS13 holds up to the PS1, now that you’ve seen it in action? It’s an obvious follow-up to the PS1, but you’ll notice the PS13 is a little more voluptuous where the PS1 is oh so square. I myself love that fat envelope pocket on the front of the PS13 – that gives it an edge for me. But maybe the roughly $500 price difference for the large versions of each bag gives the original PS1 the edge overall? Sound off!
