From a distance, that snakeskin pattern looks like a fine tweed, but it is in fact a most unusual spotted, black and white “watersnake” skin, which is a much less expensive alternative to python, and the pricepoint of this bag would certainly indicate as much. Her spectacular edition of “The Many Bags of…” is truly a force to be reckoned with.
