As a kid I lived for the winters on Long Island. I anxiously awaited the first snowfall and all that came with it. My mother was a teacher, so when schools were closed it meant everyone was home which inevitably meant family time: like it or not. I look back longingly at the quality time we spent together. I can smell the hot cocoa and though I wouldn’t dare eat Campbells Chicken Noodle Soup these days (I’ve been vegetarian for over 7 years) I can almost taste the salty broth if I think hard enough. As I got older winter started to become less of a novelty and more of an annoyance. I’m an all-season outdoor runner and I dread the icy cold weather and inevitable nor’easters that come with living in NYC. However in the dead of winter it always helps to remember that warmer weather is just around the corner. As the days wear on we’re getting closer and closer to spring my friends and with it comes a whole new set of bags for us to fawn over.

Ok miu miu, I see you getting the kids set for coachella already! I grew up HATING bucket bags and mule style shoes (they were my mothers favorite heels), but now i’m obsessed with the LV Petit Noe and want a pair of mules for this summer! Oh fashion gods what has become of me???LOL.
Meh – I see nothing special or noteworthy: The Miu Miu Raffia bag looks like something I could pick up at Target or DSW. Very happy I don’t need to follow seasonal trends.
