Every 3 months, Lyst releases a quarterly report, called the Lyst Index, which analyzes the online shopping habits of shoppers around the globe. The report looks at data from sales, Google searches and other important markers such as product and brand call outs on social media as well as worldwide engagement statistics. Lyst’s latest report was just issued for Q4 of 2019, which covers October, November and December.
We took a look at Lyst’s top brands, which range from Off-White in the number one spot followed by Balenciaga and Gucci. We pulled the top ten handbag brands, in order, and here’s what $1,000 will get you at each one. Relatively speaking, $1,000 is a lot of money, but with handbag prices sky-rocketing well into the 3K range, what $1,000 can buy you is changing. Take a look at our finds below!
Burberry x Tory Burch 🙂
It strikes me as odd every time I see it, too
What are you talking about? They aren’t in collaboration! ?
Umm…you do know the “TB” on Burberry stands for Thomas Burberry…not Tory Burch…yes?
THE TB BAG
Discover the TB Bag, our new runway bag adorned with The Thomas Burberry Monogram, in a myriad of sizes and colours.
I do know that and yet this enormous marketing failure keeps reminding the entire world of Tory Burch… Burberry has become such a joke!
“Joke” seems a bit harsh, but I don’t totally disagree. It’s not great. Anecdotally (because I’m not bored enough to do intensive market research to substantiate my idle conversations with overly invested internet strangers), every handbag lay person I know has no idea what the TB stands for. I’m in the US, though; perhaps it’s different in the UK where the brand has a home field advantage. I like Burberry, personally (I think a Burberry trench is a classic wardrobe essential), but the TB stuff is a good example of brands trying too hard to have a monogram in these logo-obsessed times. But as always, buy what you love, and try not to be a toddler if someone else dislikes it.
“Enormous marketing failure”? “Reminds the entire world of Tory Burch”? “Burberry…joke”? Where are your facts and who are you speaking for? Your broad assumptions are really over stretching the truth. You must know and/or recognize that you can’t speak for “the entire world”! Your comments are very biased because they are too broad in theory and the facts don’t support your statement. There is no literature, stats or standard of measurement to prove what you say is true…none. Take your nonsense somewhere else because PB readers are not naive.
You sure seem to care a lot about what I write… You’re my #1 fan apparently!
Ha! You are as pathetic and delusional as the absurdity that you write! You have no facts to back up the nonsense that you spew, none. Don’t come for me little man. Go away now….
Apparently, spewing nasty insults to strangers you disagree with on the internet is your thing. That certainly says a lot about you. 🙂 Perhaps you should be a lot less preoccupied with me and more with what prompts you to so viciously attack a fellow human being. No need to be a bully. These are just handbags.
I’m asking you to back up what you say with facts, but can you? Instead of addressing the question you go on the attack by calling me your #1 fan, really? Then you become defensive and act like a victim. It would behoove you to stop going after and trolling everyone that disagrees with you, like you are doing now. You write vitriol statements in an effort to prove that you are a keyboard warrior or something, idk. It’s not nice and you know it. Why don’t you call a truce and stop being so mean to everyone here? Then, maybe people would respond to you in a more positive way, as I know that I would. Thank you. Have a pleasant day.
You are my #1 fan: you’re always commenting on my posts with nasty insults. That kind of passion must be love. ??
PS: I don’t have to justify anything to you. Cheers!
Non, c’est ma première réponse à vos messages afin que l’honneur appartienne à quelqu’un d’autre. Adieu!
Google translate disaster. Lol
I know you don’t like Burberry but they actually had one of their best years last year. I actually like a lot of the pieces. To each their own. 🙂
I don’t mind Burberry at all. I have a Burberry jacket I bought 15 years ago and still wear regularly. But I do think their “TB” gimmick is laughable and their “made in China” strategy is the very reverse of luxury. That’s just my opinion, of course.
Yes, you are correct re: their financial success. Thank you for your educated, factual response.
So, basically you have to like mini bags and small crossbody bags.
Remember the good ol’ days when we could purchase a full-size luxury bag for $900? I should have bought more then! 😉
The number 20 is Loewe, you could have add in the list. Is a hot brand, too.
