Even if you’re not familiar with BOYY bags by name, you’ve probably encountered the brand’s designs somewhere along the way. BOYY launched its first collection in 2006 and has been going strong ever since, but what really caught my eye were the large-buckled totes and top handles the brand has been producing for the past few seasons. For a while, it was hard to find a spot to buy those bags online, but farfetch.com recently added a bunch to its selection and I couldn’t be more pleased.
My favorite bags tend to have one central detail that stands out among simple lines, and BOYY’s bold, leather-covered pilgrim buckles definitely fit that description. It would be easy for the concept to feel cartoonish, but because the bags are finished in such a clean, minimal way, everything feels just right. The prices are also pretty good for such expensive-looking bags: most designs fall somewhere between $700 and $1,200. Check out some of my current favorite BOYY bags below or shop farfetch.com’s full selection!
I want to like this bag, I really do. But the buckle is just too big in the pictures. I am wondering if in person, it looks better…
I love this brand, haven’t bought one yet but I might need to take another look at them.
I think of pilgrims when I look at the bags…looks like the big buckles on their shoes LOL!
i’d say it look’s like the Givenchy’s
Interesting that you mention Givenchy. The BOYY bag I have has one handle like a Pandora. The other side is black leather.
I like it in theory, but I would like it better if there was no buckle and it just had a strip of leather cinching the bag together.
I have their Slash and it’s a nice bag.
I love them, huge buckle and all.
