I’m not the kind of person who’s prone to inappropriate effusiveness or quick superlatives, but I’m not sure what other way to approach the Bottega Veneta Uniform Cocco Lave Briefcase. Superlatives were made for this bag.
I’m not sure exactly what I could say that isn’t already clear from looking at the picture; you won’t see crocodile skin so pristine anywhere else this side of Hermes. This is the sort of bag that I would want to keep in my closet and take out every morning to lovingly admire it before work, just to remind myself of what a splendid life I lead. Bottega Veneta has priced it roughly the same as a new Volkswagon, so life would have to be splendid indeed to own one. Buy through Bottega Veneta for $25,700.
Oh dear, this is so way over the top I can barely put it into words. It’s too much. Of everything. Crocodile, design and price. I imagine it to be rather heavy too. If I had a splendid enough life to buy this thing, I would definitely expect someone else to carry it for me which would rather defeat the purpose.

I never thought I would live to say this about my beloved Bottega Veneta but ‘ewww’. Way too over the top and I really don’t like the clasps, which look too much like reptile eyes for my comfort. Yes, I know it’s reptile skin (and luxe as all get-out) but I don’t want to be eyeballed every time I go to open the case.
The clasps threw me off at first too, but I think that I looked at the bag for so long that the feeling finally went away.
That bag just looks like it would weigh a ton. If it didn’t, it would after I finished with it. I am not a fan of the crocodile skin. I don’t like the texture.

I agree the clasps look too reptilian for my liking – it’s stunning but too much. Plus, who on earth would actually use the thing?

I think it is very extravagant, however; Bottega Veneta, get an A+ from me for this piece… I must say this, I agree that the clasp are croc eyes and if he cost $25,700 we must keep him well groomed and fed.. LOL!!
I don’t love the clasps, and I wouldn’t spent that money on it… if I had and extra 25,000 kicking around, I would go for something Hermes Croc.
BUT having said that, this bag could totally be pulled off if it was styled just right. I don’t think its too over the top, and if I saw someone walking down the street with it, I would surely stop dead in my tracks and admire.

The leather is beautiful. Is it a man’s bag? The lines are so masculine. If it’s a man’s brief case then ‘too heavy for a woman to carry’ would be appealing.

Wow! What a fantastic briefcase. Has that special something about it, but at the same time remains looking sophisticated and smart. This would certainly turn heads in the office! That price tag is a bit steep though.
