Bottega Veneta continues to pay homage to its timeless Intrecciato weave, which has been an iconic brand signifier for 50 years. Introduced in 1975, Intrecciato was created by the unique process of hand-weaving slim leather strips called fettucce, which produces the distinct woven pattern we all know and love.
Depending on the silhouette, the process can take hours or even days, and its completion requires unique talent and extensive know-how. Intrecciato, which has now become synonymous with Bottega Veneta, needs no introduction, but still remains modern thanks to its constant reinvention.
The Campana Bag: A 2004 Classic Reborn
Year after year and season after season, Bottega Veneta finds new and exciting ways to breathe new life into its signature craft, with new shapes and silhouettes that further emphasize Intrecciato’s timelessness.
This season, the brand is looking forward while also looking back, dipping into its archives to bring back a popular shape from the early aughts. The Campana, which was originally introduced in 2004, is defined by its rounded shape and soft, slouchy construction.

Sizes, Pricing, and Material Options
The perfect daily haul-all, the Campana utilizes slightly wider leather strips for a bolder, more defined finish, creating more fluidity and a softer hand. Dual shoulder straps allow maximum comfort, and while the bag’s open interior allows for ample room, there is no top zip but a snap closure.
Arriving in two sizes—classic ($4,700) and large ($6,200)—the bag is left unlined, which offers a further look at the construction and craft that goes into the making of Intreacciato. However, smooth leather versions are available as well. Discover more via Bottega Veneta.

We sold so many of these back in the day. Glad it’s making a comeback!
