Like It or Not, Mini Bags Are Still a Thing for Fall—Organize Yours With These 12 Card Cases

because a card case is all that's going to fit...

While designers have definitely branched out and bigger bags are trending, there’s no denying that mini bags are in fact, still a thing. I personally do not mind it, I’ve learned to slim down what it is that I carry, which is something that I never imagined myself doing. Medium sized bags and totes used to be my go-to, and I toted around everything from snacks and a water bottle to a large wallet that wasn’t even all that full. As mini bags began to trend, I learned to streamline what it is that I carry, getting rid of some unnecessary items and only carrying the things I truly need. Trending or not, mini bags do work for me at this time in my life, but I understand why they aren’t everyone’s go-to shape.

Regardless of age or stage of life, I still believe that everyone needs at least one mini bag in their rotation. They’re perfect for a quick run to the grocery store, dinner out, or shopping at the mall. When it comes down to it, the thing you’ll likely grab most from inside of your mini bag is your credit card or ID. I rotate between two cards—a credit card and a debit card, and I rarely carry cash, so a small card case is the perfect way to make these go-tos easily accessible without taking up very much space. I have a small wallet that I use to day to day, and it was one of the best things I purchased in the last two years, but I could use a smaller card case that would work when I’m going out to eat or running to grab coffee. I love the idea of a card case with a pop. Card cases are the perfect small way to tap into trends you wouldn’t otherwise like. I’m into a pop of color like a bright red, or a fun logo and below I’ve rounded up 12 options I’m currently lusting after. Which one would you snag?

This is a great idea. The reason that I mostly do not use my mini bags as often as I would like is that’s it’s a pain, especially when I am in a hurry, to switch everything out of my wallet into the smaller bag. I love the Valentino! I may just treat myself. That way I can just grab that and my car keys, lipstick and phone and I am out!

Marni has the only card case that doesn’t look like it came from the same factory as all the others.

The Marni is my favorite. Second would be the cute tigers on the Gucci. Good selection covered. Thank you!

I don’t like card cases that expose the cards’ edges like that. After a while, the cards’ corners start to separate and peel.

This article was just a one trick pony thing again. It basically serves only a fraction of the readers.
Where are the mid priced goods like Coach, Longchamp, Furla, Coccinelle and all other brands that do great quality and more styles than just mono prints for less than $100?

sev2108

Agree! And other brands like Cuyana, OAD, Dagne Dover, etc??

And how about a similar list with micro wallets? Like those above but with zippers?

ArtVanDeLay2011

I agree. Coach has a multi-color card case in color block for $50 right now in mauve and gold that rocks. Although that PRADA one with the rounded-edge slots is calling my name.

my absolute favorite are capsule wallets! amazing prices and they last forever. i have a gold one and have also bought it for several friends. highly recommend as a beautiful and inexpensive option.

The McQueen is well designed. The curved corner slots would make it easier to pull a card out. Almost all the others are sewn flat and cut. The McQueen looks like a more expensive construction technique.

Gucci Tiger – love the idea of an innovative logo, over the tigers
YSL- fresh and the most expensive looking in my opinion
MCM – love their neons.
MqQueen – looked the exact same for 10 years … over it
Prada- Whatever
Balenciaga – i love the glitter bc everyone needs a little glitter in their life
Bottega – looks like it would scratch easy.
Valentino – Rockstud is tired
Burberry – the color is the worst part of the whole thing
Marni – eh whatever
Givenchy – not my fav print, definitely willing to see what print is next
Gucci – could be from woodbury commons
