Is the industrial trend going anywhere? Don’t be silly, of course it’s not. It might be sort of on hold while warmer weather and lighter materials take hold, but come next fall, I guarantee you that black and leather will still be as popular as they have been for the past several months. There will be other trends as well (most noticeably, a strong bent toward midcentury shapes and colors), but this one should still be popular.

That’s great for people like me that like black, and also for anyone that loves the Boyy Syd Clutch – it may not fit into your warm-weather wardrobe, but you’ll be able to get some use out of it in a few months.

This clutch isn’t all that innovative, but I do like how the weather silver pieces look like rings on the “fingers” of leather that make up the bag. it’s a nice design detail and sets this little beauty apart from the horde of black clutches that constantly compete for our money and attention.

I think it’s a little pricey for the size, but I like the overall look and how useful it will be during cold weather, so if you’re in to it, I’d probably recommend waiting for a sale. The piece is being released outside of its natural season, so I predict that the price will be reduced before long. Buy through ShopBop for $572.

Love love love…Boyy is one of the best labels out there as of late. The designs are consistently fresh. (Can anyone say Slash or Trevor?) I find that most designers’ use of industrial materials pales in comparison to Boyy’s.

I love this clutch!!! Silver is expensive and it looks so thick and luscious. I think the price is right on point for the leather and silver.
