Marc by Marc Jacobs Faridah Leather Bag

Marc by Marc Jacobs Faridah Leather Bag

4.1.2008 | by Megs | under: Marc Jacobs Handbags

Marc by Marc Jacobs Faridah Leather Bag With the doleful weather in NYC, the streets are filled with black. It would go against the grain to add a pop of color, though spring really is around the corner and spring craves bright bold colors. Today has been so dreary, and between the umbrellas and ponchos the only color lining the streets of New York are the yellow Taxi’s. But I am ready for bright bold colors! Vlad and I were in a showroom today browsing Fall 2008 bags, but the remainders from Spring are what caught my attention. The bold colors were eye catching and refreshing. I am still waiting to find my perfect pop of color to make my late spring purchase. If you are looking for an everyday bag that is not too much of a splurge but still a great way to add color to your wardrobe, the Marc by Marc Jacobs Faridah Leather Bag is a great option. Marc Jacobs has had Miss Marc grace the front of his Faridah bag before, but this grained grass leather version is easier to wear. Now easier to wear is relative, because the bright pop of green will surely stand out. The bag has a great slouch to the hobo shape, with gold hardware and a shoulder strap. The inside is lined with monogrammed cotton lining. This is a bag deal, as it costs less than $500. Is this the right pop of color for you? Buy through Net A Porter for $438.

Hi Megs… This shape is really nice, I like to use every day.
So I prefer a purple or red….but this kind of green is cool, remember 80´s.

Like the color. Does it remind anyone else of a couple of cheeks (I am not speaking of the face variety) wearing green jeans?!!

I’m sorry, but I just don’t get Marc Jacobs’ bags. I liked the Stam, but other than that, I just feel like they are bags I can find at any Goodwill in The Valley. And don’t get me started on what he’s done to Louis Vuitton. Sad.

Unlike the other responders, I LOVE the color. I’ll take bright anything at this point. This morn was warm, this evening was cold - the whole day dreary. I need color… And I have a FABULOUS dress that this one will match with

Sorry,my opinion of MJ has not changed. Don´t like his stuff. I bet the color of this bag is one of the first things we get tired of.

So sorry the weather here is crummy right now! Maybe it won’t rain all day tomorrow……

I like this bag and especially LOVE this color. It would look fabulous with gray skinny jeans and a gray cashmere tutleneck or v-neck sweater. I also saw this green paired with bright yellow for Spring. Something about a bright bag on a dreary day lifts my spirits, weather on me or somebody else.

I REALLY DON’T LIKE THE BAG!

I like the color, but this is too casual for me to use on a daily basis. I am considering the Spring 2008 l.a.m.b. bags (verona and capri) in the same color.

LOVE. I want it!

 I llloooovvveeee Marc Jacobs, He’s starting to become my new obsession. The colors are playful, out there, fun but sexy and mature at the same time. I’d have to disagree with the previous comment… There is no way you’re going to fine a bag at Value Village with the style and quality that Marc Jacobs has.

I have this bag in “Fire” red and I love it. It is a little heavy, but the leather is so thick and soft it is worth every ounce. Red is a neutral for me, but I’m not sure how much use I’d get out of the green. I have to disagree with many posters thus far: I find the quality to be outstanding, especially for the price. Love it!!

I love it but I could only imagine how much that thing weighs…
